My Psychologist

Prologue

Ms. Yzabella Santos is always wondering how it feels to have a father by her side. She grew up in a family wherein her Mother Jessie and Aunt Ellaine help each other just to raise her. Her mother is always busy with their sari-sari store and by the afternoon she will start preparing to sell some barbecue, balot, and chicharon.

Bella always excelled in class and tried all her best to become a Professional and she's been doing her dream job as Psychologist at the hospital with her Aunt Ellaine also working as Pediatrician. The owner of the hospital is the husband of her aunt.

"Bella, hindi ka pa ba maglalunch?" her aunt asked her.

"Nakuu tita hindi na po siguro. Busog pa naman po ako at may baon po akong sandwich dito." Bella answered her aunt with a smile.

The truth is every time she will face a new patient, she can't hide the fact that she is still nervous. Nervous and afraid of whatever story she will hear that may trigger her own problems in life.

"Okay sige. Mauuna na kami ng Tito Louie mo. Goodluck mamaya!" her aunt gave her an energetic goodbye.

She is very happy by the thought that her Tita Ellaine and Tito Louie are very strong to the point that soon they will celebrate their 20th anniversary. But she's wondering why they still don't have a child. Every time she is asking her aunt, she will only answer that they are both busy and they consider Bella as their own daughter.

And the second thought that occurs inside Bella's mind is what if her mother is still with her father? Maybe they are very happy.

She came back to her normal state when she heard three knocks on the door.

"Good afternoon Doc Bella! May naghahanap po sa inyo. May appointment daw po siya today sa inyo?"

"Hello Nurse Nichole. Ano daw pong pangalan niya?"

"Patient niyo raw po siya with the surname of Villa."

Bella takes a look at her schedule and yes, she has an appointment with a patient named Beatrice Villa. But the patient seems early because the said schedule is 1:00 pm and it is just 12:24 pm.

"Ahh opo. Si Beatrice Villa po. Sige po papasukin niyo na po siya."

"Sure po ba kayo Doc? Diba po lunch break niyo pa?"

"It's okay lang po. Tapos na rin naman po ako mag lunch plus para matapos ng maaga then makauwi agad."

"Sige po Doc."

"Thank you so much Nurse Nichole!"

After Nurse Nichole leaves to call the patient, Bella immediately fixes and removes the unnecessary things on her table. She took a deep breath and made herself presentable.

Another three knocks and she is sure that this is Ms. Beatrice Villa. The door opened and she looked at the face of her patient only to find out that it was a man.

Grabeee ang gwapo naman niya!

Bella can't stop talking to herself about her reaction to her patient.

"Aahm good afternoon Sir, do you have an appointment?" She asked the man looking back and forth inside and outside her office.

"Are you Ms. Santos?" asked the man.

"Yes. I'm sorry Sir but according to my schedule for today Ms. Beatrice Villa is my patient. I guess there is misunderstanding about this. Could you please give me a second or minute to clarify this to my assistant?" She stood up and was going to call Nurse Nichole but the man stopped her.

"I am Ms. Beatrice Villa."

Bella didn't know how to react.

Bakla ba siya? Transgender? Or mali lang ang pangalan na naibigay?

But she is very sure that this case will make her life some changes.
