3 months later

Today Chris and Seb are back from Atlanta, so me and Lily decide to cook them a huge meal and make a fuss of them. They had a rough few months and there going to need some rest.
Lily has been to see Seb over the last 3 months, and she told me they were all good and everything was going great.
Me and Chris spoke as often as we could, but he was busy filming and things at the dog home went a bit crazy. I was looking forward to seeing him again. We had just finishing cooking when we heard the door, Lily went running and ran straight into Sebs arms. He managed to put his bags down just in time to catch her. It was adorable, they really were so cute together.
I walked towards the door and looked out "hey Seb, where is Chris?"
Seb put lily down and looked at me "he isn't here"
"Oh, I thought he was coming with you"
"He was supposed to be but he went home to Boston instead."
"Oh"
Lily came over to me and hugged me "I'm sorry Abbie"
"No don't be silly, it's fine. You two enjoy your meal and I'm just going to go for a walk okay"
"Abbie come and eat with us"
"No, you guys need to catch up. Honestly I'm fine"
I smile, grab my coat and walk outside. I take Ellie with me. She loves her walks now.
I sit at a bench in a local park and just watch Ellie run around. I take my phone out of my pocket and decide to text Chris
'Hey, kind of a shock that you weren't with Seb. Why didn't you tell me?'
I saw him read it and bubbles appeared and disappeared and after 10 minutes nothing. Well I guess I got my answer then.
I felt a tear escape and roll down my face, I worked so hard on my self these past 3 months so I could be ready for when Chris came back. I wanted to date him but I guess he changed his mind.
I go for a long walk with Ellie just to clear my head, when I head back home, I see Lily and Seb curled up on the sofa.
"Hey Abbie, you okay?"
"I'm fine, I'm just going to go to bed. Have a good night guys"
I walk into my room and settle on the bed, Ellie is next to me and I just curl up and close my eyes. I don't understand what went wrong but something did and I guess I'm just going to have to get over it.

When I wake the next morning, I hear lily and seb talking, I creep out of the room and listen to them.
"Why didn't he come with you Seb?"
"I can't say babe"
"Sebastian Stan tell me"
"He met someone in Atlanta, they went on a few dates and he seemed to like her."
"But I thought he liked Abbie?"
"I don't know Lils, I tried to talk to him but he told me it wasn't my business"
"God I feel so sorry for her, you know she cleared out Eric's stuff and even took her engagement ring off. She was ready to try with him Seb"
"Wow. That must have taken her a lot of courage. I don't know why he is being a dick. I made sure I told him he was"
"Well, we have to be there for her. She has made so much progress I don't want her to take a step back"
"Lily, we will always be there for her"
I felt tears leaving my eyes, I crept back into my room and went to the bathroom. They were right, screw Chris if he couldn't wait then that's his problem. I've made so much progress and I'm not going back. Eric wouldn't want me too. I get dressed and put some make up on and sort my hair. I walk into the kitchen with a big smile on my face.
"Good morning"
"Morning abs you okay?"
I walk over to lily and hug her "I'm okay honestly, I'm not going to crumble just because he didn't come and see me okay"
"I'm just worried about you"
"I know and I love you for that and Seb I love you too. Your my best friends. But I'm okay honestly"
They both smile "we love you too"
I laugh. We decide to head out for some breakfast before work.

After work I head home and I find a note on the side
'Hey chicken, I've gone back to Sebs, hope that's okay? Thank you so much for letting me stay with you. I love you and I'll see you tomorrow'
I smiled, they were so happy and I was happy for them.
I decided on a chilled out night in front of the TV, with some Chinese. I'm just about to drift off when my phone pings
'Hey Abbie, I'm sorry I didn't let you know my plans. Just decided last minute to go home.'

I decided not to reply, he had someone now and I wasn't going to get in the middle of that. So I put my phone back down and keep watching the movie. I miss him but I'm not going to get emotional over him. I mean we weren't even dating so it shouldn't matter anyway.
