Sweet and Innocent

Chapter 18

Perrie's POV:

My eyes open slowly and of course, the other side of the bed is already empty. Jade is the worst sleeper I've ever met and still, she doesn't seem fazed by the lack of sleep. She's currently sitting at her desk doing god knows what.

"Hey, Jade." My voice is still hoarse from just waking up and the brunette seems to like it as I notice a slight shiver. "Morning, babe. Well, more like good afternoon." She says playfully.

"Huh? What time is it?" I ask groggily, still not feeling fully rested. "It's almost two, but we did stay up very late last night with the ball and then our talk and then well, you know what then." She gives me a slight smirk making me chuckle at her one-track mind.

"You're going to have to train me in dealing with six hours of sleep a night because I honestly feel like a wreck," I grumble as I pull Jade's oversized shirt on. "You usually sleep more than six hours a night?" Her voice sounds genuinely surprised.

I pull my panties up and walk over to her, straddling her lap and wrapping my arms around her neck. "Before someone started keeping me up at night, I did. What about you? How much do you usually sleep at night?"

The brunette looks hesitant for a second but places her hands on my hips while looking at me warmly. "Mostly, I sleep about three hours a night. I guess my body is used to it by now because I don't really feel tired."

My mouth slightly falls open. I knew that she had insomnia, but I didn't realize it was this bad. "Okay, new plan. I'm going to teach you how to sleep longer than three hours instead of you teaching me how to sleep less."

"What do you even do if you're awake 21 hours each day?" The brown-eyed girl chuckles lightly as she runs her hands up and down my sides. "Well, during the day, I go to school and hang out with my friends, at night I study because then it's quiet and there's nobody to disturb me."

I shake my head slightly. "You're insane." For the first time today, I connect our lips in a sweet kiss and it feels great to just be able to kiss her without having to think about what it means. We're both in this for more than just sex and it's amazing to clearly be on the same page.

"I'm going to take a shower and study. Tonight Claud, Niall and me are going to grab a few drinks. Do you want to join?" Those sparkling brown eyes stay focused on me as I leave her lap to pull on some pants and a sweater.

"Sure. What time?" She asks as I button up the jeans. "Seven-thirty."

"Fuck, you look so good in my clothes," Jade says and walks over to me. "I'm very glad that you like it," I say happily and the brunette kisses my nose in response. "I'll see you tonight," I say before pecking her lips softly and walking out of her room, swaying my hips on purpose.

"Fuck." I hear Jade mumble before I pull the door closed behind me. A satisfied smile stays on my lips the whole walk to my own dorm.

"Pez, hey girl," Claudimar says excitedly when he spots me walking towards their table. "Hi, babe." I give him a quick hug and do the same to Niall.

"How have you guys been? How was the ball? I didn't see you guys much." Niall is the first one to answer. "It was amazing. I had so much fun!"

"Me too! I went home with a guy called Jake and let's just say that was the perfect way to end the night." I quickly high five Claud, sharing her excitement. "How was your night? Was Alex any good in bed? You look tired, so I'm going to assume he's quite good."

I roll my eyes and my cheeks heat up at her words. Right, Alex. Before I can answer, I see Jade walking towards our table and don't know if I should feel relieved or scared about her arrival.
