"So do you remember the area you were in when you still had my phone?" He asked while we were exiting the library.

"Uhh..." My eyes widened, "I'm not really sure. I'm still sorta new to the school."

"Jeez. How did I get stuck with a complete idiot." He sighed.

"Don't complain. At least I offered to help. Which by the way, I never got a thanks for." I held up my pointer finger in a matter-of-fact way.

"Um, thanks?" He gave me an annoyed look.

"That sounded more like a question," I frowned. "Not what I was looking for, but I'll take it. And by the way, are all filipino guys as rude as you?"

"What?! No," He defended. "You're just getting on my nerves, that's why my bad side is coming out."

"Mhmm. Ok, yeah sure."

I totally doubt him. He's probably like this around everyone.

I looked around to observe our surroundings.

"Hey... Where exactly are we?"

"What?" He looked around, "We somehow ended up in the old wing of the school. That's just great."

"Er.. it's okay..! We can just go back the way we came from." I tried reassuring him.

"This is the old wing, not a lot of students come here, so I'm as lost as you."

"Let's just keep walking and see if we can find the way back."

"Uh... No way. I'll lead. You'll get us lost again."

"Huh? You don't trust my directional instinct?" I crossed my arms.

"You have none." He snickered.

"Ah, so you can have more than one face besides that serious one."

He cleared his throat, "Of course. What am I? Emotionless?"

"Up until you laughed, I was convinced you were."

"Whatever. Who asked for your opinion.." He rolled his eyes.

After who knows how long (most likely an hour), we made it back to the main building.

"Finally," I took a sigh of relief and sat on the nearest bench.

"The sooner we find my phone, the sooner we don't have to be in each other's company," He sat down next to me.

"Hey, I'm GREAT to have around." I defended.

"Yeah... ok sure."

I just got an idea that might find his phone.

"Hey, why don't I try calling your number? We might find it that way."

"Are you kidding me? This school is huge. My phone could be any where since a certain someone decided to run around without any sense of where she was going." He looked the other way and whistled.

"Alright, I get it. I lost your phone, don't you think I know? Sheesh.." I sighed.

"In any case, this is our best bet. So would you quit being stubborn and give me your number?"

He held out his hand.

"Ano? Why are you holding your hand out?" I narrowed my eyes.

"Para lagay ko yung number sa cellphone mo. Tanga mo talaga." He tsked me and swiped my phone out of my hand and punched in his number.
