Backstory: Madelaine was born the only niece of Lady Alcina Dimitrescu. Her mother Milady was Alcina's twin sister. Madelaine and her mother did not inherit the family blood disease to Alcina's relief. Madelaine grew up inside castle Dimitrescu and was doted on by her family which included her three older cousins Bela, Cassandra and Daniela. The three daughters were very protective of their younger cousin as they didn't want her to get hurt. Madelaine's childhood while happy was also quite sad. She did not get to go outside much due to the dangerous monsters that roamed the village. As Madelaine got older Alcina did allow her niece to leave the castle more often as long as she made sure she was safe. Madelaine would walk around the village or go over to visit one of the other village lords Donna whom Madelaine was very close to. The only place she was not allowed to go to was Heisenberg's factory. Madelaine knew it was because her aunt did not trust Heisenberg. One day while out on a walk Madelaine encountered Karl's daughter Katie. The two began talking and got along well with each other. Eventually the pair became good friends and Madelaine would invite Katie over to spend time with her. Alcina was opposed to their friendship but seeing how happy her niece was she allowed it. For the first time in many years Madelaine felt like she had someone else who she could call a friend.
