I didn't have an plans to write a sequel to the story, "Starsky Has A Daughter." But I couldn't get this out of my head, so I wrote it out. I hope you like it. :)
As Grace stood up against her father's car at the station, she hoped that he would get off work soon. She felt like she was going to explode as her nerves were starting to take over. She needed to calm down before she got sick again. She looked toward the door to see if her father was walking out but not seeing him only made her feel even more sad. She knew she could just go in to see him like always but this time it was different. This time she might lose it and not be able to get her emotions under control once she got back in his arms. His arms, that was all she wanted more than anything at this point. There is nothing like being your father's strong arms when you feel like your world is falling apart. Well, at least that was how Grace felt when she was in her father's arms. He had been there for her for the past six years since he found out he had a daughter. He took her in, took care of her and helped her through so much. He showed her what love really is and for that she would be eternally grateful. His love is what got her through all the trauma and hurt that had happened to her years before they found each other. With one arm resting on her stomach, she reached for the Infinity necklace that was around her neck that her father gave her right before she went to college. In order to get her nervousness under control she started to think back to the time when........
As Grace walked into the station to meet her father for lunch she stopped at the big window and watched both Starsky and Hutch work. She wondered if Starsky had told Hutch about her going to college yet. The smile on her face was a big one fueled by the warmth in her heart as she watched them both doing their paperwork. She loved watching them work and seeing them do what they love to do. The smile slowly faded as she thought about the big step that she was about to take. She knew that it would be worth it, but she also knew that there would be hard times ahead. She pushed open the door into the squad room and smiled again the closer she got to Starsky.
"Hello Daddy," she said as she stood next to him.
"Hey Kiddo," Starsky responded with a smile as he looked up from the paperwork that he was working on. He stood up to give her a big hug and kiss before she walked over to Hutch. She gave him a big hug as he said, "Hello sweet girl." Grace then walked back over to Starsky as she put her arms back around him before she laid her head on his chest.
"Are you ready for some food?" Starsky asked before he kissed her head.
"Of course, I'm always ready for food," Grace replied with a chuckle.
"You are just like your father, always hungry," Hutch said with a laugh.
"You got that right," Starsky told Hutch before turning back to Grace. "How about we get going?"
"Sounds good but isn't Uncle Ken coming with us?" she asked, looking up at Starsky.
"Well, not that I know of," Starsky said, a little surprised.
"Oh, well can he come?" she asked with a big smile on her face.
"If he wants to, he can."
"Ummm.... did you two forget that I'm right here or what?" Hutch asked, looking at both of them with a questioning look on his face.
Grace looked over at Hutch as she said, "Kinda did forget that sorry Uncle Ken. Will you please come to lunch with us?"
"Hmmmmm, thanks for the offer but I have a lot of paperwork to do. So, you two go on your date and have fun," he said with a smile.
Grace let go of Starsky to walk over to Hutch. She wrapped her arms around him as she said, "But I want you to come. I get Dad at night, well when he comes home, that is," she said but was interrupted by her father.
