"Karma."
"KARMA!"
"I'M UP, WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?" I asked, annoyed as hell that I was woken up from my glorious nap I was taking. "We're here," said Blaise Zabini, my best friend, and apparently new enemy since he thinks it's okay to wake me up. If there's one thing everyone, and I mean everyone knows about me: Don't. Wake. Me. Up. I will not hesitate to Avada Kedavra you.
"You have exactly 3 seconds to explain why you just woke me up," I told him. "Because we're at Hogwarts and you should be awake," he replied, rolling his eyes at me....This bitch. "Oh. Interesting. I didn't know you wanted to DIE TODAY," I said back, rather loudly, twiddling with my wand as a threat. "Karma, you can't kill me." I can't even begin to explain to you how shocked my face looked at the fact that he thought I wouldn't literally MURDER him right now. "It's too late, I've already decided how," I said, crossing my arms and looking away from him.
[a/n: yes i stole this from that one tiktok cus it was so funny]
It was a few seconds before I looked at him with a side-eye and we broke out laughing, Blaise clutching his stomach because of it. We calmed down a bit, and we we're both looking down at the ground, probably rethinking our life decisions, when he broke the silence with, "Alright, seriously though, grab your shit; everyone's getting off the train already." I rolled my eyes at the boy, but still nodded, and I, in fact, grabbed my shit. Due to me sleeping the entire train ride, I was feeling a bit weak, and noticed how heavy one of my cases were. Naturally, I dropped it in frustration, yelling out "MIERDA," earning a few glances from people exiting the train towards me.
I honestly didn't care. I was easily frustrated from being tired, and I wished everyone except Blaise would fuck off right now. I want to go back to sleep. Yeah, what-fucking-ever, I'm a Hufflepuff. I'm just SLIGHTLY mentally ill. Listen man, at least my friends don't mind. I went to pick up my case when I heard an unfamiliar voice. "Need help?" I didn't even bother to look at who said it, but I responded to be polite. "No, I'm fine, thanks." Blaise and I then proceeded to walk to our carriage, me not struggling to carry my case anymore because of pure hidden rage.
Blaise held the door for me, and I audibly gasped. "Blaise, a gentleman? What is this?" I said with my hand on my chest, faking the utterly confused look on my face. "Shut up, get in the carriage," he replied, rolling his eyes, smiling to himself.
I knew this wasn't flirting. I've known Blaise since first year, and he always has these small moments, and I always point them out. He shuts it down every time by acting mean and dismissing it by never speaking about it again. It's actually kind of funny to mess with him using these moments. I know he's nice inside, he just doesn't like to show it often.
I stepped into the carriage, and Blaise stepped in after me. Since we were last, we had the carriage to ourselves. It only took about 15 minutes of insults for us to arrive at the large doors to Hogwarts. I smiled, knowing I was home, and could see all my friends again. I didn't have many. I had a small circle, and a few friends outside my circle. I was friends with the golden trio, mostly with Ron. I hung out with him a lot. I hang out with Hermione sometimes, not as much as Ron though, and it's study sessions we have together.
I walked up to the doors with Blaise, glancing at him for a moment, smiling. "Fifth year," I said, looking straight at him now. "Yup, you ready?" he replied. I sighed, I had to think about this. "I think so. It'll be good. It'll be good."
He just nodded, smiling, and we walked into the entrance hall together. I instantly saw Ron and ran straight to him. I thought about hugging him, but I don't love physical touch a whole lot, I just think it's awkward. What are you supposed to do during physical contact? I'm not explaining this shit, it's just awkward. "Well hello to you too, Karma," he said. Did he notice I hesitated? Shit, now it's weird. Say something you idiot. "How was your summer?" I asked him quickly, smiling slightly. "Really good," he said, now walking with Blaise and I into the Great Hall, "Fred and George decided it was a good idea to take all of my clothes while I was packing, I ended up finding them in their room. They both hid them under their beds. I can't believe those gits sometimes, seriousl- Are you okay?" he added, noticing I wasn't really paying attention.
