The rest of the day felt as though it wouldn't end. It dragged on and on and didn't seem to come to a halt until I was in Charms and the bell finally rang after what felt like hours.

I only had one class other than Potions with Mattheo, but he was across the room and didn't pay me any attention, which I didn't see as a problem.

Since Charms was my last class of the day, that meant this half-boring and enduring day was basically to an end since I didn't really have to go to dinner. But, I guess I have to since Blaise said so. This motherfucker, always ruining my sleeping plans.

I got to my dorm rather quickly, it was 4 o'clock, I was tired, and I haven't gotten a nap all day. I deserved this. I drop my things on the floor beside my bed, lay down, and shut my eyes. My body is practically floating. This is relaxing.

Then Blaise bursts in.

"Karma. Get up," he said. I sat up, my eyes opened and rolled; I shot him an annoyed stare until he explained why the fuck he was waking me up yet again. Is this what we do now? Is waking up Karma everyone's new hobby?

"Listen," he said calmly with a relaxed expression on his face, "I just came here to remind you that you are coming to dinner tonight, okay?" He looked at me, waiting for a response; I was still glaring at him. Finally, I relaxed my face and nodded. He nodded as well. "Good," he started again. "I also came here" — he started to walk slowly towards me, smiling — "for this!" He grabbed my wrist, pulling me up so that I was standing, and he started running down the stairs. I had no choice since he still had a grip on my wrist, so I started running with him.

"How did you even get down here?" I asked as we ran. "Cedric let me in!" he replied enthusiastically. Kill Cedric, noted. We kept running and running...until finally we were in the hall beside the barrels.

He let go of my wrist and I put my hands on my knees, breathing heavily. "Why did you do that?" I asked, gasping still. "Because it's our first day back! We're going to have fun today!" he replied, smiling. "How" — I gasped again for air — "are you not tired?" He tilted his head slightly and stuck out his bottom lip as though I was a small, dumb child. "Aw, poor baby," he said. "Let's go."

And we were off. I followed him up the stairs into the entrance hall and out of the large wooden doors that were the entrance to Hogwarts. I didn't ask where we were going, he probably had something planned and I wanted something fun and exciting after this boring day.

We were walking for a while down the path, me not thinking about where we were going at all and looking down at the ground as I went, when I finally looked up and saw Hogsmeade Village. I love Hogsmeade, and Blaise knows that.

We arrived at the front of the small village and started to walk down the main road until we were near enough the Three Broomsticks for me to see it. Going there was always so fun for me, so I was excited. I smiled and walked a little faster, catching up to Blaise, who was in front of me. He nodded his head toward it as we approached the door, smiling, and opened it for me to enter. I think I squealed, and I entered, him trailing in after me.

Immediately, I was hit with the familiar scent of butterbeer and crackling fire. I looked around and spotted Ron, Luna, and Theodore sitting at a round table in a corner and I ran over to them and sat down.

"Hello," Luna said dreamily, as always. "Hi," said Ron. Theodore only nodded and smiled. "Hi guys," I said happily. "Did you order anything yet?" Blaise arrived at the table and sat down between Theodore and I. Everyone shook their heads at my question and I nodded and asked, "Well, did you want anything? I can go get a few butterbeers for us if you all like — but of course you'll have to chip in — I don't have many sickles on me —"

But the chime of the bell that indicates another arrival through the creaky door sounded, cutting me off, and I turned to see who had just entered.

At first, I'd only seen a head of dark, curly hair and thought it could be anyone.

But then, I saw the now familiar way our uniform was worn by only one person I know of.

And of course, once again, it was him. So, naturally, I looked back to everyone at the table, choosing to ignore him, and found everyone staring at him like I was begging myself in my mind not to.

I watched their eyes as they shared a stare on him, waiting for some sign that he was gone, but it only got worse. I saw them look at the door, then towards our table, then right behind Blaise who was on the right of me. I didn't look.

"Hey, you're finally here! We've been waiting for you, man," Blaise said, and I saw him stand up and embrace Mattheo in a short hug out of the corner of my eye. Fuck no. Fuck no. He cannot be here. Why the fuck is he here?

Blaise sat down and I heard Mattheo walk to the left of me, him brushing my back as he took a step and sat down right beside me so that I was between him and Blaise, us three facing Luna, Ron, and Theodore, who were all gawking at Mattheo still.

"Excuse me," I said quietly, standing up. I smacked Blaise's arm so that he'd realize he was coming with me, and he got up and we walked up the stairs into the hall of the Inn.
