Beep! Beep! Beep!

That's all I heard before my eyes shot open and my fist slammed the top button on my alarm clock. I fucking hate alarms. They make me want to punch a hole in a wall. But now is not the time to discuss my anger issues, I have classes today...

Shit, I have classes.

I completely forgot. I sat up and looked around my room, sunlight slowly creeping in through the parts of the windows that the now glowing tan linen curtains weren't covering, until my eyes met my unpacked luggage at the foot of my bed. I didn't unpack last night. Goddamn it. Now I have to rummage through it all to find an outfit for today.

I didn't feel like putting everything away just then so I decided I'd do it after classes are over today as I looked for things to wear. What was I supposed to wear? Hm, I could be hot. OR, I could do an Adam Sandler inspired look. Who knows. Just then, I found my high-waisted black ripped jeans that I definitely didn't get from Hot Topic. Haha...anyways. I lay those on my bed and continue looking through my now messy suitcase. To go with my jeans, I found a "Scream" hoodie that I one hundred percent also didn't get from Hot Topic. I lay that on my bed with the jeans and look through the small bag I brought for accessories and makeup. I gathered my belt chain, some necklaces, a few rings, and eyeliner from it. Did I get everything? I look around at my bed where everything I was going to wear was ready, waiting for me.

I took a deep breath in. Well, fifth year. This better not go to shit.

In a rush, I take my current clothing off but stop to look at myself in the mirror. I am so glad no one else has seen this mess. I grabbed my jeans and put them on, then my hoodie, followed by the chain belt and accessories. Where the fuck did that eyeliner go? FOUND IT. I quickly snatched the eyeliner off of the floor where it must've fallen from my bed. Running across the room at this point, I entered my bathroom and swiftly moved over to the mirror. I applied the eyeliner with a few fast swipes and threw it down onto the sink counter, now anxiously fixing my hair.

After being done with that, and shortly after remembering I need brush my teeth and put on deodorant, I moved into my dorm, slipped my black high top Converse on, and practically sprinted out of my room.

I set down the dormitory stairs at a run and threw open the door leading to the Girls' Dorms, running halfway through the common room when I remembered. I left my fucking shit in my room. I rolled my eyes in frustration as I sprinted back through the door, up the stairs, and into my dorm, searching frantically for my wand and small black backpack I carry my quills, parchment, books, phone, charger, and headphones in. It's a magic backpack. The shit just fits.

"QUÉ CARAJO, WHERE IS MY BAG?" I yelled to myself. "Ah," I added as I spotted it sitting on the floor next to my nightstand. I quickly sped over to the bag, seizing it, and running out of my room, back down the stairs to the Girls' Dorms, and out of the door leading to them. I stopped in my tracks. What time is it? I grab my phone out of my bag and check it, my eyes widening.

"IT'S ONLY 7:25?" I yelled a bit too loud, causing the few people in the common room to turn their heads to me. Breakfast is at 8. You dumbass, you were freaking out for fucking nothing. I rolled my eyes and threw myself onto a comfy, light yellow-colored papasan chair.

After sitting for about 3 minutes, relaxing a bit more than I could earlier, thinking I was going to be late, I decided I would go find Blaise. I slowly sat up from my chair and stretched out, then set off for the passageway leading out of the barrel, and into the hallways.

Once I leaned out of the barrel, I walked up the stairs and across the entrance hall, going down the stairs to the dungeons where the Slytherin common room was. I hope he's there. Once I was down the stairs after what seemed like hours, and the atmosphere went from bright and open to gloomy and dim, I made my way down the dark hallway and to the blank stretch of bare stone in which Blaise's common room lay behind.

Once I stopped in front of the wall, my face dropped. Idiot, I don't know the password. I'll just text him. He better answer. I flipped my bag from my back onto my front and started rummaging through it to find my phone.

After seeing Blaise's dumbass texts, I put my phone back into my bag and swung it over my shoulder. I made my way from the shadowy hallway back up the dungeon stairs and into the bright entrance hall. Looking over to the giant marble staircase between the two passageways leading to both mine and Blaise's common rooms, I see him sitting there, smirking at me like a little bitch.

"What took you so long?" he asked as I approached him with an annoyed expression on my face. "So, what, you just watched me run over to your common room without saying anything?" I asked, ignoring his stupid question. "Yes, obviously," he said as if I was dumb and there was something I wasn't understanding, "It was funny. I figured you would find me at some point." I need a new best friend. "I woke up not knowing the time and rushed out of my room to find you so we weren't late for breakfast. At least I was being helpful to us bot-" I was cut off by Blaise, "Ah, but you weren't," he started as he stood up from the stairs and started to walk down towards me, a smirk growing on his face again, "You see, dear friend, I was already awake and ready, waiting for you instead of waiting in the Great Hall, like the good friend that I am. You on the other hand...well."

He did not. "You bitch," I said turning to him and hitting his arm as we started walking towards the tall wooden doors to the Great Hall. I smiled, I wasn't mad. This was normal Blaise behavior. Of course, it's annoying, but I've learned to get used to it.

"Is that..." I muttered, spotting a familiar, silvery long-haired head near the doors to the Hall, "Luna!" I ran over to her, my smile big now. Luna Lovegood turned with a small, kind smile on her face. "Luna, how are you? I didn't get to see you on the train." She replied, as dreamily as always, "I am well. I was with Neville in a compartment at the end of the train. How was your summer?" Blaise caught up to us and we all started walking into the Great Hall early for once.

"It was kind of boring. I was with Blaise basically the entire time, so, one would assume-" Blaise cut me off once again by hitting my arm with a fake hurt expression on his face. I laughed at him and continued talking. "How was yours?" I asked Luna.

"Very nice. I read a lot of magazines," she replied. Luna loves her magazines. "Ah, sounds fun," I said smiling, all three of us now entering the Hall. We all said our goodbyes and went our separate ways to our House tables. Of course, people stared and whispered as I approached mine and took my seat. I ignored this, like usual, and waited for breakfast to start at 8. To pass the time, I did what I usually do. Go on my phone. I mean, what else is there to do? It's not like anyone in Hufflepuff wants to talk to me. I grabbed my phone out of my bag and scrolled on some social medias and snapped a few people.

After about 15 minutes, it was 8 o'clock and breakfast was served. I wasn't that hungry this morning, so I just got myself some toast and yogurt. I ate both pieces of my buttered toast and was finishing up eating my yogurt when I felt the same gaze on me as I did yesterday.

I looked around the large room, searching for eyes for a few short seconds when I found them.

Him.
