Chapter 23- The Pier

I throw my (purse/backpack) strap over my shoulder, "C-Come on, Pap! We're going to be late!"

We're going hang out at the pier today. Besides it being built over a beach and the ocean, there's a little fair on top of it for us to chill and have loads of fun today. It's a few towns over and the longest trip we've made, so most of our time will be spent on the longer drive. We have to get there earlier in the evening since we want to hang out and then leave before the crowds of nightly traffic rush in.

Papyrus seems a bit frazzled, he's been nervous and running around the house all day. That's the most exercise I've seen him do, and it made me feel exhausted just watching him. I swear I saw him almost trip over his own blaster, which is like walking straight into a boulder.

'I wonder if he's okay.'

As I'm staring off, Blueberry taps my arm to snap me out of it, "Human, did you forget to take your medicine again?" I quickly glance down at him, "Hm? What- No, I took it. D-Don't worry..!"

He smiles and his eyes change into stars, "You're excited?" "Of course! If o-only I knew where your brother was, it w-would m-make my day so much easier." As soon as I mentioned it, two familiar arms wrap around me from behind, "Behind ya, Beautiful."

I sigh a breath a relief, relaxing in Papyrus' grip. I turn my head and right on the usual routine, he places a kiss on my cheek.

Blueberry snickers, leaving through the front door of my apartment, "Well, guess I'll be in the car then. Make sure to grab anything else you think we might need, human!"

When Blue's out of sight, I turn around to face Stretch. I let his arms stay around me, cupping his cheeks as I ask softly, "Are you okay? I-If you're feeling sick, we c-can see if Sans can bring us back home early. We can c-c-call your doctor too-" Honey leans into my touch, using one of his hands to cup over my own, "No, I'm okay."

"Okay.. I trust y-you but don't push yourself." He deviates the attention to me, "What about you? Do you need to bring your walking stick with you?"

I shake my head, "I think I got it this time.." "That's my strong and beautiful Y/N~" He smiles, playfully messing up my hair. I squeal, saving myself and stumbling back, "H-H-HEY!"

(~Long Time Skip~)

Earlier, Honey and Blue went on a few rides together. Because of my health issues and overall tiredness from the trip, I sadly volunteered to sit out. I had been on them already several times before in my childhood, but this is their very first time here.

I didn't want to push my abilities and then ruin their fun if I got sick or caused an emergency in some way. I had no problems with watching and taking pictures of them on the rides. Both of them had definitely fun and I enjoyed getting to see their expressions as they zipped past me, upside down or not.

Blue definitely wasn't prepared mentally. It was his first time on a roller coaster, and they chose a fast one with lots of high drops. The poor thing was clutched to the handle bars the entire time while screaming.. I really do mean it, he was ScREaMInG. Pap, being the brave and complete goofball that he is, would do something different every ride. Opposite to Sans, he kept his arms up and almost dying laughing through the first.

Second ride was one of those thrill rides that you sit down with your feet dangled off the seat. It had a bunch of crazy loops and even points were you stopped and hung upside down for a few seconds. Well, when it got to the nearest upside down spot, Honey somehow pinpointed where I was in mere seconds. He winked, crossed his legs midair, and posed like an absolute flirt that needed to impress me. I scoffed, looking up at him through a disbelieving smile. I couldn't believe how ridiculously he was acting. Not gonna lie though, as soon as the ride continued and I was out of their sight, I maybe blushed just a little..
