After Oliver's escape that night he was always on the run. He knew he had to get as far away as possible from that city but not to act rashly. The first night was the hardest. He just got out of his house and could already hear the cops not to far away but he was lucky this time. While they were busy searching his house he got away but there was still the question of what to do next. He felt lost and uncertain with his decision but at the same time free like he could breath again after a long time were the society was suffocating him inside a room that was getting smaller and smaller. He had a little bit of food and water with him so that was not a worry for now but it was pretty cold outside. Good thing he took some extra clothes on him so it wasn't that bad. Next he needed to find a place where he could hide during the day because it was safer to run in the night. He could still be spotted if he wasn't careful by passing cars if he was walking on the streets so he chose to run towards the closest forest which wasn't that far from his home and get away trough there. He knew there were no bears or wolfs in there. It was a safe zone so no need to stress about safety in there. It was a forest maintained by peoples for its wood so there might be someone watching it but being a big forest he could easily get away and he was sure not many knew about him or his case just yet so even if anyone actually saw him or even caught him somehow he could just come up with an idea and pretend to be a ghost hunter or something or to say he wanted to experience a night outside like he saw others doing on the internet. There were a lot of options that Oliver was thinking of for different kinds of situations. He was also thinking about his family but he thought there were better off without him. He felt like he was a disappointment at that moment and decided that it was better to run and maybe make a name for himself somehow and then come back and see them again.
Focusing again on the task at hand or better said on the road ahead of him because he almost fell down tripping on something while he wasn't paying attention Oliver resumed his walk trough the darkness with a flashlight in hand and embarrassment on his face for losing himself into his head for a bit there.
Walking as fast as he could but still trying to be quiet was proving to be a bit hard. He knew many peoples around here had dogs as pets which most of them were keeping inside their courtyards on a leash acting as protectors as well in case anyone had some funny idea of robbing them and not inside their own homes like he saw on the internet peoples from other countries were doing it. He found it really odd when he heard it the first time. He thought those peoples were crazy. Those pets were mostly furry and they were shedding it each season so he couldn't even imagine all that fur flying around into the house or on the bed, couch or whatever. Plus they were saying that those pets were trained to do their business outside or in a place made for that purpose for them but lets be serious those guys must have accidents right. He was guessing it was just a different kind of culture or something. Maybe they had ways to cope with that but for him it seemed like to much work just to keep a pet inside when their furs were keeping them enough warm even if kept outside but now he wished those from his country would have kept them inside as well. Those dogs were very sensitive creatures and also loud too. Most of them were barking as he was walking by but thankfully most peoples were still at the church or those at home were to lazy to check every time their dogs started to bark and even those who were taking a peek outside didn't see much as Oliver was long gone by then.
'Maybe those guys from other countries keep their dogs inside just so they wont get sued because they are so loud at night. Or to protect people like me who are on the run? Hah!' Funny thoughts were going trough Oliver's mind again.
After walking for about one hour and thirty minutes or so the forest was at long last in sight. Oliver couldn't wait to start this new but sudden adventure he found himself into and he was looking forward with enthusiasm but at that moment he was mostly looking forward to take a small break in the forest because he wasn't anymore used to long walks outside after all that time spent at home. He was in shape because he kept on training at home but it was different compared to a long walk. His feet were already hurting, he was out of breath and sweating bullets because he had to many clothes on but if he was removing some of them now he could catch a cold in this windy weather so taking a few minutes to catch his breath under the protection of those trees looked very enticing for him.
Entering the forest and walking for fifteen more minutes he found a promising spot where a big and old tree had a hole which could fit his upper body so he decided to take shelter in there for the night. Taking his bag and using it as a pillow he slowly closed his eyes for a bit and running out of adrenaline long ago with this much excitement for one day he fallen asleep right away now that he finally calmed down a bit.
