New country new life. Oliver was aware that there were still some connections between his country and this one. Even though they had their own language most of them knew romaine language as well plus Oliver was a medium to advanced english speaker so he could try that too but he knew his case might be on the news already and he wasn't sure yet if this country were running the same channels on TV as in his own. When he was little and there were the times of the old TV's that were on black and white he saw his country had the Moldova channel as well as their own channels accessible. So he needed to lay low for now but all he needed to do was wear a hat a bit lower and get lost into a crowd of peoples and he would be just fine he thought. He needed to collect some information but also to not get to much attention towards himself and also to find a safe place to sleep. The currency might not yet be a problem as he thought they must accept his as well but he would figure it out later.
The first few days were the hardest but Oliver adapted to it in the end. He was also using a new name now and he came up with a bunch at first but he settled down with Felix Dinu for now. He was hopping to have a little more luck as Felix Dinu then he had as Oliver Vernice even though it seemed more like a childish thought. He was a shy guy in general but he was challenging himself to change that. Shy and weak guys couldn't survive for long as fugitives. He needed to lie, fool others, steal food from the market and put his life on the line to run no matter what if anyone caught him even resorting to threaten or even stab someone if needed be using a pocket knife he had always on him stashed in his pocket. The food he had în his bag was long gone so he had no other option. Not many would hire someone like him that had no identity acts on him, plus there was the risk of someone recognizing him so he couldn't stay in the same spot for long, he was always on the move. The money he had originally on him didn't last much either as he didn't had a lot in the first place. He only took the bare minimum from his home not wanting to make things harder for his parents then he already did.
He did meet some nice peoples from time to time though that were either offering him some food, a place to sleep for the night or a ride with their cars when they saw him walking alone at night on the streets but he didn't want to involve them into his problems so he would accept their good will but not give them details about himself and just point out were he was going coming up with a story of "traveling the world by foot like our ancestors did it..."
Following up a story of how he heard about others doing it and him being an abandoned child that has lived most of his life into an orphanage house and wanting to see the world at long last after being mature enough to do it. Either if they believed him or not he didn't care as long as they stopped pestering him with questions like "Do your parents know where you are?" and "Did you run away from home or something?".
He really planed to travel and see the world after all and also to get as far away as possible from his country.
He was planning to go around the Black Sea passing by Turky, Siria, Libia, Israel and into Cairo to see the great dessert of Egypt the root of life and legend. Admiring all those countries and seeing their culture and food.
But first he needed to pass the border of Ukraine and Russia and something was telling him that it wont be as easy as it was crossing them as it was to cross from his country over here. He needed information to see the safest route. He might even need to cross the Sea but as he didn't knew how to swim he was a bit scared of doing that. He only saw the Sea just once in his life time after all and that thanks to Alex who took him there together with his mother Mellisa and his adopted sister Verona, during summer, with his car and they only stayed there for one day before leaving. His father Whilliam refused to join them for some reason and wished them a safe trip. It took them four hours to get there but it was worth it. It had been a nice day back then so Oliver wanted to see the Black Sea again but he was afraid of needing to cross it.
In the end he decided to go towards the Sea and just go along the shore and maybe someone would offer him a ride or something who knows.
The only problem being that he didn't really know which way to go to get there. It would probably seem weird if he asked peoples passing by in which direction was the Black Sea when most likely he was so far away from it. And for sure most didn't even know where it's general direction was as they were busy with their own lives and problems. Going to work then home or bars or who knows. But it didn't hurt to ask and luckily he found someone kind enough to give him an old paper map when he was offered a night of sleep by an old lady into her house when she saw him wandering around at night. Her husband died a few years ago and her children were big now and had their own lives. They couldn't stay with her anymore so she was most of the time alone. Her children were visiting from time to time but it seemed to her to be for less and less each year and they seemed to always be in a rush. Thats how life is she told Oliver.
He felt sad for her but he had bigger problems and didn't want to get her involved in them. He did gave her something before leaving tough. He has written a story for her while staying there. Not a long one but he felt like she would appreciate the effort anyway as he heard from her that she liked to read. It was a story about life and it's unpredictability, about it's ups and downs. The struggle and the rush but always the same end with the same embrace of silence at it's end but the hope of a new beginning of the new ones still to come.
