Myle's POV
This tomato is red... and I'm... seeing myself in this tomato.
"That would be fifty pesos."
"... Yes?"
"That is fifty pesos."
"What is..?" I asked.
She pointed at my hand. No, not my hand but the one on my hand.
"That tomato, Miss."
—Arjera. For some reason, I could hear him saying this.
"What in the world?!"
She blinked, startled by my shout. I mean, fifty pesos for these two tomatoes. It's... expensive at its finest.
Taking a deep breath, she asked,
"Would you like some plastic bag?""Y-yes, thank you..."
A plastic bag with two tomatoes swung as I walked into the center of the mall. It was kind of fun...
... not until a tomato escaped from the bag and hit a certain back.
"Ack— shish!"
"A-ah! I apologize!" I bowed and glanced at her as she rubbed her back.
"Are you picking a fi—"
She paused.
So I adjust my head to glimpse at her face. Come to think of it, her voice was familiar.
"A-Ali!"
She stared at me for a second then rolled her eyes.
"Clumsy as ever.""I'm... very sorry..."
"... Don't be so down!" She slapped my back. Ouch. My spinal cord might split into two. "I'm just kidding!"
"Y-yeah..." She looked serious though.
"So, are you now dating the pretty boy before?"
"I wouldn't say..." My left hand instantly covered my face, assuming that it was red.
"Hmm... Good for you. I bet it's mutual now."
"W-what is..?"
She brushed her bangs to the side with her index finger.
"Feelings, duh?""Er..." I slightly nodded.
"Boring."
"... Yes?"
She shook her head.
"No, nothing! So how's his eyesight? It bled last time, right?""He's... gonna be alright. He will go back to his hometown to look for a certain doctor. We're gonna part ways but... it's fine..."
"Yeah, it's fine. It's not like you're dating. You might forget each other which looked very impossible..." She shrugged. "... but who knows."
"Eh..?"
"Don't worry about it. Go and continue your stuff. I might've bothered you."
"N-nope, you didn't..."
"That's great then! Bye-bye~!"
"Bye..."
She waved her hand while I couldn't... since I was facing the floor. When a tomato blocked my sight, I raised my head.
"I forgot to return this."
"Thanks..."
"Bye again~!" She waved her hand for the second time.
