He was left all alone. He had no plans of going back to the 2nd floor where his friends were. He's not even sure himself if they're his real friends...
"Would you like to have some drink, young man?"
Lev frowned upon hearing that.
"Did you forget what that boy told you earlier?! I'm still in high school, underage! So-- no, thanks... and I'm sorry..."That's not like him, yelling like that. His conversation with Kyou Zeyern was stuck in his mind the whole time. That might be why he lost his temper...
"Is that so..? Sorry, I forgot..." said the bartender.
After a few seconds, Lev recalled one thing. A large television screen shows a news report about a certain person with a disease who easily forgets. Despite all of that, he still chose to work and that was... bartending.
Mr. Bartender, why did you offer her a drink? She's still in high school...
These words flashed to Lev's memory. That Kyou Zeyern was irritated but still gave the bartender a chance to explain, starting with the question "why?"
It sounded like he scolded the bartender. Still, he didn't yell... unlike Lev...
"D-dear, I'm back!" Lev turned to that voice.
A middle-aged woman approached the bartender while panting. Noticing Lev, she spoke up.
"Oh, dear... There's an event for high schoolers being held tonight. You shouldn't just offer a drink to anyone..." She glanced at Lev then bowed. "I apologize... My husband is forgetful, you see..."
"A-ah. It's fine!"
"... Thank you so much."
"Uhm... May I ask how he could bartend so well..?"
The woman grabbed a piece of paper then showed it to him.
"These are his notes."Lev stepped forward to read what was written. 'Offer a customer a drink, you're in Zeyra Cafe, your boss is on the second floor, just stay on your place until your wife comes back.'
"Oh, about bartending, that was one of the things that he couldn't forget. It's amazing how he loves it that much..."
"What if he suddenly made a mistake..?" Lev asked again.
She smiled and answered with a caring voice.
"... I'm always here for him. Even if he makes mistakes, I'll try my best to correct them. Even if he forgets, I'm here to make him remember things. I will always be his support...""I think... I get it now..."
"Oh, kid, you have to see someone, right?"
His lips circled in surprise. "How..?"
"It's obvious in your eyes. Go ahead and don't live with regrets."
Regrets... If Lev would regret one thing, that would be not understanding people very well, especially Myle.
The reason why this bartender was able to live on was because of his wife. Myle, on the other hand, might have no one... He's not even sure if she's on good terms with her family.
Back when there was a fuss about broken glass, Lev didn't help Myle. He also regretted that moment...
"Thank you very much!" Lev bowed to them then rushed to the exit.
As he opened the door, a gust of wind greeted him. Other than that, his ears caught a certain voice.
"... Can I complain to you again?"
