~Chaeyeong POV~
I dumped my tray out and threw it on top of the many others. I couldn't face either of them right now. But the worst part was, recess was right after this. And it was a Wednesday, too.
I tried to untangle the bundle of nerves wiggling in my stomach as I made my way to my locker to grab my Korean books. Felix was supposed to meet me outside of the library before we went in to start our session. My nerves seemed to grow by the minute as I walked closer and closer to my destination.
I rounded a corner and the entrance towards the library came into view. Felix stood there with the top half of his blonde hair tied into a mini ponytail. He had black-rimmed glasses that perfectly frames his chocolate brown eyes. And his books were tucked under one hand while other fumbled with his shirt, trying to smooth it down.
I coughed discreetly to try and get his attention. His head snapped up to look at me and the soft smile he had faltered a little. I tried to wave at him, but it came off as awkward. So I just walked into the library with my head down, refusing to make eye contact. He followed me and we sat down at a table between bookshelves.
"So..." I started off with hesitation. "What do you have trouble working on?"
"Uh...I guess a lot of the pronunciation and sentence structure?" He shrugged, opening a textbook labeled 'Basic Grammar."
For the duration of the tutor session, it was just me awkwardly explaining how formatting Korean words in sentences worked, and he just listened with a thoughtful expression on his face. Every once in a while he would nod and write something down in his notebook. I noticed (regrettably so) that I kept shooting quick glances at the expression on his face. Later on, I observed that he also looked at mine. It made my face heat up, and I had to turn away occasionally with the excuse of checking the time, just so I could calm myself. I focused my energy into explaining everything, so hopefully he would be able to understand and we wouldn't have to do these sessions in the near future.
As soon as the bell rang, signaling the end of recess, Felix quite literally bolted from his chair, stuffing the books into his pack as he went. As I watched him exit the library, I felt the urge to call out to him, to tell him I was sorry. My mind was telling me no, but my heart said otherwise.
So without thinking, I heard the words come out of my mouth.
"Felix, wait!"
Felix stopped in his tracks and slowly turned around, meeting my eyes, his expression somewhere on the line between hopeful and hurt.
I bit my lip, hesitating. "N-nevermind." I muttered, letting discomfort flow through the room again.
I swear I saw the flash of disappointment in his eyes as he took a breath, as if to say something, then decided not to. He turned his head around, gazing at me one more time before walking out and heading to his next class.
I slowly tried to organize my textbooks, my mind seemingly elsewhere. I was clearly distracted, as I had tried to drink from my Korean textbook, unaware that it wasn't my water bottle.
Jesus, why is it so damn hard to ignore him?

~Felix POV~
I slipped off my bag and set it on the floor, starting to do my stretches. The room was lit dimly, so it seemed I was the only one here.
I clicked my phone on to check the time. 2:03. Still got quite a bit before everyone else arrives. I guess I like to practice early, since the half an hour before everyone else arrives is the only time I can really display my skills.
