"Ugh," I complain.
"Sam you have to get out of the restroom!" My older sister Clare calls from the other side of the bathroom door.
"Can you please use mom's bathroom I don't feel so well and I don't think I'll be coming out soon."
"Look Sam," Clare says her voice softening, "I was at school today I know what happened. You can talk to me about it if you want."
Clare, being a senior while I'm a sophomore, would definitely have heard or seen what had gone on in the school cafeteria. I consider her for a moment and decided to do the best thing I can and talk to her.
I slowly open the door and face Clare. We resemble little of each other, I have light teal blue hair while hers is blonde, but my natural color is dirty blonde. She has a good figure while mine is slim. My body lacks the physical appearance she has, due to her always running and trying to stay in shape and me running every so often.
"Sam, you look like death," she notices.
"Glad to see you have eyes," I remark dryly.
"Let's go into your room."
"Sure," I say as we march to the other side of the second floor.
"So?"
"So what?"
"What happened at school?" Clare questions.
"I don't even know, all I can tell is that I've made a fool of myself and never want to go back," I saw being over-dramatic as usual.
"Well you provided me with little information therefore I can't help," Clare snaps getting fed up. Clare acts like an awesome big sister sometimes, but mostly she's a bee to me.
I sigh to myself while thinking that maybe this wasn't the best idea. Luckily my mom's car pulled into the driveway making Clare realize that we shouldn't talk about this in front of my parents.

"Dinners ready!" Mom called upstairs.I slowly get off my bed from reading a book called "All The Bright Places." I fell in love with Theodore Finch, one of the main characters, and had almost finished the book when I was snapped back to reality by my mothers yell. I walk down the stairs trying to tidy my hair while not looking like I've been crying.
"Sam, is everything alright? You look under the weather," Mom remarks.
"I'm fine," I lie, "just overly tired we got a lot of homework tonight."
"Well I hope you actually do it this time," she says rather coldly returning to setting the table.
I just sigh and take a seat waiting for my father and sister so we can start dinner. A few minutes later Clare comes down with her wet hair flowing over her tanned shoulders. I silently wish I could be more like her in personality and looks.
"Hey girls," my dad calls while entering the room from work.
"Hi," Clare's voice sweetly replies.
"Hi," I utter under my breath already disliking today's dinner.
"Everything okay Sam?"
"Quite alright," I reply to his semi concerned face.
We sat in silence as mom is getting the chicken out of the oven. Then we all took our servings of the few different dishes at the table and began to eat.
"Dinner is excellent," replies a nice Clare.
"Why thank you sweety," my mom replies giving her a warm smile. My mom likes Clare way better than me, and so does my dad. They both have brown eyes and brown hair, well my dad has grey in his hair.
