After going home last night and falling asleep thinking about the case plus everything else I wake up before the sun rises on the town. I stretch and get off my bed. Opening my dresser I find a long black skirt with a blue blouse.

I grab black flats to match my skirt. I look in the mirror and decide that my hair is fine as it is and I grab my hat. Walking out of my house and locking the door behind me I head to my office. I unlock and push the door open to see a paper on the floor. Hm. I walk over to it and see that its an application to apply here. No name though. Just a address.

Okaayyyy I get the creepy vibes.. But how the hell did it get in here?! This place was locked up last night. Ugh. And where the HELL IS PAUL???! I look around his desk to find any address and I sigh.

I make my way to the back room to his files and find an address. He lives closer to the bank. Thats good so I wont waste too much time. I leave the office and go to his home.

His door is locked. I knock but no answer. "Detective Paul!" I shout. Still no answer. I roll my eyes and pick the lock and it gives a satisfying click to show its open. I turned the doorknob slowly as the door opened and I gasp.

He's dead.

I just talked to him last night. I run over and look at him. How is he dead? I scan the room and I find another note underneath a glass of water resting on the table. I picked it up and read it thoroughly.

"He crossed the line. Don't make the same mistake Viotto"

Signed,

SH

Crossed the line. How did he cross the line? Because it might come in handy to me later. Wait a moment. I glance back at the note. "Signed, SH". Who is SH.. Because that's our killer and our robber. I stuff the note in my blouse pocket.

Looking around once more, I walk out of his house and shut the door. Walking but slightly running I make it to my office and Detective Greg has made it. Good. "Hey Greg. Can you do me a huge favor?" "Yea sure whats up Mary-Anne?" I sigh. This is gonna be hard. "You know Paul Collins right? Well... Our robber made a stop at his house last night and.." I couldn't finish the sentence.

He frowned. "The robber from the past case killed him and you want me to retrieve his body?" I sat on my desk and put my head in my hands. I closed my eyes and spoke. "That would be amazing. I would come to help like usual-" "Don't worry about it Mary-Anne. Just worry about catching this killer. And I saw the application. Kinda weird that they just have an address, but you might as well go check it out. If this person is any good we can use all the help we can get."

I lifted my head up and smiled. "Thank you. I'm gonna go to this house and see if he is still up for this." I grab the paper which has his address and i follow Greg out. We both go our separate ways.

I make my way around town to try and find this house. I end up making it when the sun is directly above my head. Midday and im already tired. I chuckle slightly whilst looking at the house. Its a small house with dark blue paint. I walk towards it and knock on the door. Without taking long, the door opens, and my eyes widen.

It's him.

The man who informed me of the robbery. I never thought I would be at his door, about to ask if he still wanted to work with us because we could use the extra help. He smiles and invites me in and I smile back while glancing around almost secretly like a little child sneaking around at night.

Things scattered around here and there, but everything was well maintained. Possibly not our killer but he's the only suspect we have. But something about him seems too... What's the word... Genuine.

"So what can I assist with you on this fine day madam?" He sits in a chair and motions for me to sit down as well.  "I came here to talk about the application you dropped off."

"Ah of course. That old thing. Did you guys just find it because I dropped it off about a year ago." I raised my eyebrow. "I haven't seen this at all. I apologize. Are you absolutely positive, sir?" He chuckles deeply.

"No sir needed. Call me Sherlock Holmes."
