A/n: So a little review on characters, Sherlock Holmes is our antagonist, Mary-Anne Viotto is our protagonist, Side characters presented so far are:
Paul (who's deceased)
Greg our pathologist, (the person who does autopsies on bodies).
Sorry if its moving too fast, it'll start to slow down within these next few chapters.. Happy reading!"No sir needed. Call me Sherlock Holmes." Her eyes widened like she had realized something. Maybe telling her my name was a little too much but it's too late now.
She smiles and nods her head, "Sounds good Sherlock. So.. I can here to ask if you wanted to still be apart of our team down at our office."
Her eyes. Dazzling. I snapped out of the trace they put me in. "Of course. I'll get ready and I'll meet you there." She smiles and stood up.
Holding out her hand, we shook hands and she left. Vanilla. The scent was overloading my brain but I let it. I got ready as I let her invade my head. Walking out of the house after grabbing my coat I shut the door and locked it.
Before even realizing it, I was already at the detective's office. I opened the door as a little bell rang out. I see her head pop out from behind the wall separating the front desks from the file cabinets. It looked as if she almost waddled out into sight. "Oh good you're here." She looked relieved and sat down at her desk.
"We need to figure these two cases out before this killer strikes again. I've never had two unsolved cases from the same person in a very long time and I'd like to make sure we get him or her behind bars." She spews out. Woah. That was a lot.
She blushes and stammers out, "I.. I'm sorry if that was too much... The last few days have been stressful, my partner was killed at his own house, I'm just a little-" Another man walks from the back. She sighs. "Ah Greg. I take it you have a report on his body?" "Yep... So if you'll follow me to the back I'll explain on the way, and I see this is our new detective?"
I stood up and offered my hand to Greg. "Sherlock's the name. Pleasure to meet you." We shook hands firmly and we all walked back to the autopsy room. It was painted a light grey with bright white lights. His body was sitting on the table as we approached.
"This is the body of Detective Paul. He was stabbed with a serrated knife once in the throat and once directly in the heart. And they used the knife to shove his left eye into his mouth."
"He died around 12-2 pm last night. Whoever did this knows what they're doing. Its a clean kill." Greg finished.
Mary-Anne piped up and spoke. "So we have an experienced killer on the loose who knows how to do a lot more than just killing." Greg shook his head agreeing with her statement.
"Anything you have to say Sherlock? Or should I say Detective Sherlock." Mary-Anne chuckled. I smiled. "Not really. Was there anything else at the scene? Or the bank robbery that could possibly give us some sort of lead?"
