If the King was sick, weak and unable to do the Kingly activities he had to do, would that mean Jungkook would have to step in?

Jungkook ran out of his parents bedroom in a panicked state.

Jimin and Seokjin where waiting outside of the door. When they saw the Prince run out, they knew something was wrong.

The Prince wasn't panicked or upset about his father being weak or even so dying pretty much soon, he was panicked about most likely to have to take the throne so quickly.

He ran to a spot in the garden, beside the fountain, on a bench.

Seokjin and Jimin sat beside the Prince.

They sat in almost silence, the only thing heard was the water at the fountain and Jungkook's sniffles.

"So what's wrong with him?" Jimin asked, breaking the ice a little.

Jungkook sighed and wiped his nose, "he's got diabetes? Apparently he has both type one and type two but the type one has worsened over time since he didn't get treatment. My father is too weak to do his King duties any time soon."

That's when the realisation hit the other two males.

Jungkook, the sweet Prince of Busan, would have to step in as king sooner than we thought.

"Wait, doesn't the heir have to step in if the King or Queen is unable to do it?" Jimin asked, now playing with a few strands of the Prince's long hair.

The said Prince choked out a sob, feeling overwhelmed after all of the new information.

Before Jungkook could answer, a female's voice called out, "Koo, hun', come back in, we need to discuss a few things."

The three males looked up, to see the Queen stood there, wrapped up in a blanket.

Seokjin and Jimin instantly stood up and bowed towards the Queen, as they didn't expect to see her.

She bowed back to them and Jungkook soon followed behind her, whilst Seokjin and Jimin also followed behind.

The two Royals sat at the dining table, whilst the other two males stood by to watch, and to hear what will happen.

"Why are you crying, love?" The Queen spoke out softly, placing her warm hand onto the Prince's shaking ones.

He sniffled, "because I'm scared of the idea of being King."

"Scared? And why would you be scared?"

"Because I'll be in charge of everything in the Kingdom, and everyone will probably look down on me, think I'm a child and I shouldn't be on the throne."

The Queen smiled, amused at her son and him overthinking.

Jungkook looked up as he hadn't received any answers or remarks and noticed his mother with an amused looked.
