Lukes Perspective
"Luke I can't stay here" Berlins voice was low, her words rushed and her breathing rapid.
"At my house?" I questioned but she shook her head with a sympathetic smile. I knew what was coming next, I just didn't want to hear it.
"Town Luke, I need to leave. I can't stay." Her voice was silent, almost a whisper. I knew she was trying to be quiet so my parents wouldn't wake up but at the moment I could care less.
"Did you get kicked out of your house or something cause if you did, you can always stay here" I explain, I'd do anything for her. She only shook her head, making me frown.
"How long would you be gone?" I ask, my voice is quiet and I'm battling against myself, I'm trying my hardest not to yell or cry. Berlin shrugged her shoulders indicating she doesn't know.
"I'll come back eventually" She clarified, Berlin approached me and brought me in for a quick hug. She caught me off caught but I eventually hugged her back. When we pulled away, her eyes were glossy, matching my own. Berlin gave me a small smile and a shrug before whispering one last thing to me.
"Luke I'm leaving town for a bit, try not to miss me too much" With a swift kiss on the cheek, she was gone.
If you told me a year ago that I'd fall for Berlin Summers, I would've hit you and said 'Fuck off'. But now everything's different. I secretly fell for the girl with pink hair and a nose ring, I fell for her along the way of becoming friends. Me having a crush on Berlin Summers is an understatement, because yes I do like her but it’s more than some silly crush. Me, Luke Hemmings, the type of guy that would never settle for one girl has fallen in love. I'm utterly crazy about Berlin Summers. She doesn't know it yet but the second she comes back to town, I'll tell her without hesitation.
