Tanjiro has nightmares where Nezuko died along with the rest of their family. Which leads to him sometimes needing to hug Nezuko to make sure she was really alive and he wasn't just hallucinating.

Inouske is afraid Zenitsu and Tanjiro will get tired of him and abandon him.

Since Nezuko is a demon,(in this headcannon) and demons are harder to kill than humans. That's the reason why Zenitsu fell inlove with Nezuko, because the last thing he wants to see before he dies is his love.
