"Cmon Lex" Ben mumbled, as he tried to get her to leave her room for the second time that day, she just felt empty, she just felt numb. "Mase said his for a surprise for you" Ben continued, as Alexa finally dragged herself from the covers of her bed, throwing on an old jumper over the vest she had been wearing, before she walked out of the room, meeting Mason and Declan stood by the car at the top of the driveway, Alexa trying her hardest to smile at her brother and his friend, but knowing it didn't look anything like a smile, that smiling was the last thing she wanted to right now.

And it wasn't long before she was at the place she knew would make her happy, in days to come anyway, right now she didn't want to acknowledge her feelings, but she knew at some point she would have to put her big girl pants on and face the world again.

"Oh wow" Alexa smiled, as she finally looked up at the sign that was being placed on the top of the building.

Twin Delights

"I love it" Alexa whispered, as the smile finally found its way on her face. "Come look at this" Mason smiled, as he took his sisters hand and pulled her through the doors, her eyes finally taking in the decor that she had decided on, finally seeing her ideas come to life.
"I did add this and I really hope you don't mind" Mason mumbled, as he pulled Alex behind the counter and into the room that all the baking would happen in, as Alexa's eyes fell on the board in front of her.

Alexa had lost her polaroid camera within days of being given it, and she hated that she had been silly enough to lose it, but in reality, she didn't lose it, someone else just happened to take it.
On the board was a handful of Polaroid photos, images of her and Mason playing football, or basketball, to sitting and talking. Odd snapshots of her and Ben hugging, to Declan trying to scare her, to a photo of her and Jack holding hands as they left St George's Park.
"I didn't want you to forget what made you so happy over the last couple of weeks, I wanted you to have a part of our home in yours" Mason whispered, as Alexa smiled at him. "I love it Mase, thank you" Alexa whispered as she wrapped her arms around him, holding him close. "I'm glad you do" Mason smiled, as she walked back out into the shop front, Alexa smiling at the colours of cream and a light blue radiating around the shop, hints of brown and golds lacing the tables, her dream finally coming to life.

"I got an apartment" Alexa blurted, as Mason, Declan and Ben all looked at her, eyes slightly wide. "You sure that's a good idea Lex?" Ben mumbled, as Alexa rolled her eyes at him. "I can't live at St George's all my life, you guys will go home at some point too" Alexa mumbled back, as Mason nodded his head. "Where?" Mason questioned as Alexa smiled to herself, looking up. "Above the bakery?" Declan smiled, as Alexa nodded her head. "It also means that I can keep my job at St George's" Alexa smiled. "Gareth said I can go to part time, which I'm thankful for, because as much as I want this" Alexa said, motioning around to bakery. "I'll still need something steady" Alexa smiled. "And I have all of your numbers on speed dial" Alexa smiled, as Ben laughed. "I figured you would have" Ben chuckled. "So when are you moving out?" Mason whispered, the realisation that his sister was once again leaving him hitting him like a train. "Over the weekend" Alexa whispered, I have everything I need up there already, but I'd like another night or two of games and films" Alexa whispered, as Declan smirked at her. "I'm sure we can arrange that" Declan smiled, as the four of them sat around a table, a cup of coffee, cakes that had made a day or two ago sat on the side, Bens eyes casting over them. "Can we eat one?" Ben smiled, as he lifted the cake to smell, his mouth watering at the smell of it.
"It's lemon and white chocolate ain't it?" Ben smiled as Alexa nodded her head. "They'll be okay to eat if you want one" Alexa whispered, and Ben didn't need to be told twice.
"I'm spending the day baking tomorrow" Alexa whispered, as she watched as a delivery of ingredients pulled up outside. "I think it's time to invest my time in something that won't break my heart" Alexa continued, as her fingers danced along the locket that was around her neck, just wanting to make everyone she knew proud. "You don't have to dive right in, not this weekend" Mason whispered, as Alexa looked at him, her brown eyes clouding over. "I can't continue living life being careful, it's not what he would have wanted" Alexa whispered.

She finally found comfort in talking about Lewis, and that was down to the therapy sessions, she knew she wouldn't have got through it all without Mason fighting in her corner. Alexa looked to one of the corners of the bakery, a dimly lit area with a candle that was planned to never be burned, the fairly lights wrapping around the photo frames that were on the walls. She knew she wouldn't of made it this far with Lewis, but she knew that Mason had carried her further than he was able to, and now, it was finally time to stand on her own two feet and experience the world in a new light.

But as Alexa watched his name flood her phone, she didn't feel the feelings she felt this morning, she still felt content and happy, and she knew that even if she had fell for Jack, and even if the feelings were deep inside her, she knew that she would be okay, and that's all that really mattered.
