Kasie's POV

"Skylar Brooke!" I yelled, turning off the stove and diving up the last of the eggs between three plates. "What?" She yelled back, her voice sounding like she was in the hallway.

"Come eat breakfast before you go to school," I said, grabbing the three plates and carrying them to the dining table and placing them down.

"Coming," She appeared and sat down in her normal place at the table. She began to eat her breakfast of eggs and bacon with a small glass of orange juice off to the side.

"Did you sleep well?" Connor asked, walking into the dining room and sitting next to me after kissing my forehead.

"Yeah I guess," She replied, rubbing her eyes sleepily and then munched on her bacon.

"You guess?" I asked, popping a forkful of eggs in my mouth and looking at my five year old daughter.

"Yeah," She shrugged, falling silent for the rest of breakfast.

"Place your plate in the sink and go brush your teeth," I told her when she was finished. She nodded and went to the kitchen. I heard the clink of the plate hitting the bottom of the sink and footsteps fading away.

I sighed and got up, ruffling Connor's hair a little as I walked past causing him to glare at me and lightly smack my bum. I rinsed off the plates and put them in the dishwasher before going to brush my teeth.

I was rinsing my mouth one last time when I felt arms around my waist and lips on my neck. I spit out the water and dried my mouth on the towel beside the sink.

"Babe, babe," I said, getting Connor's attention when he began to kiss my neck lightly, not long enough to leave marks though.

"Hmm?" He hummed against my neck, tremors tickling me from it.

"Not now, she could walk in at any time," I said. He quit but pouted, sticking his bottom lip out slightly farther than his top lip. I kissed him gently and went back to the living room where Sky was bouncing up and down on her knees on the couch.

"Now what do you think you're doing missy?" I chuckled, not really mad but she didn't need to learn that that was okay.

"Huh? Oh hi Momma," She blushed furiously, brushing a stray hair away from her face.

"Now it's time for you to go to school Sky," I told her, putting her hair up in a ponytail when she asked me to a minute later.

"Yay!" She cheered, happy about getting to see her friend Quinn. I laughed because I knew she wouldn't be saying that this time next year or the year after.

"Alright, go grab your backpack and we'll go," I shooed her off to get her backpack. She ran to her room and returned a minute later.

"Tell Dad bye," I said to her before she reached the door, shaking my head a little.

"Bye daddy!" She said, kissing Connor's cheek and hugging him around his middle.

"Bye baby girl, have a good day at school. I love you," He kissed her head and went to kiss me goodbye.

"I'll be back," I promised, grabbing my purse and car keys.

"Okay, I love you," I waved bye and went to the garage. I opened the garage door and Sky climbed in her seat behind me, buckling herself in as I climbed in the driver's seat and buckled my seat belt. I backed out of the garage and drove her to school.
