Kasie's POV
"NO!!! PLEASE!!! TAKE ME!! PLEASE DON'T TAKE HER!! TAKE ME!!" I hear my daughter scream at the top of her lungs. It's currently 4am but I get up after being woken up by her screaming.
"I got it," I mumble, placing my feet on the floor and sleepily walking to my daughter's room, rubbing the sleep that had caked in the corner of my eye. When I walk into Skylar' room she's sitting up right and she looks like she's going to cry.
"What's the matter hun?" I ask, sitting on the edge of her bed. Skylar climbs into my lap and I rub her back in an attempt to calm her down.
"It was, it was a bad dream," Skylar says.
"What happened in the dream?" I ask, thinking talking about it would help. Connor used to help me when I had a bad dream and talking about it always helped. I mean, he still does but not as often as he used to when we were dating.
"There w-was bad people and they t-tried to take her. They tried to take my little sister but I begged them to take me instead. I wanted them to take me instead b-because she was so young and had a full life ahead and I was older. So I begged them to take me instead of her and they almost got to me but I woke up before they could," Sky explained. I rubbed her back as she talked to calm her down because she seemed pretty shaken up still.
"It's okay baby. No one's gonna take you. I promise. I will do anything and everything in my power to make sure no one hurts you or your future brother or sister. It was just a dream and it wasn't real," I explained.
"But it felt so real Momma. I thought it was real life and I thought those people had actually come to take her."
"Yeah dreams can feel so real sometimes but it was just dream." Sky nodded, burying herself into me. I held her until she felt safe again.
"You gonna be okay or do you wanna sleep with me and dad?" I asked her. She normally would sleep with Connor and I after she had a nightmare but sometimes she wouldn't.
"No, um, I'll be fine."
"Okay, try and get back to sleep alright?" I told her and retucked her in. She nodded and rolled over in an attempt to get comfortable. I smiled and left. I found Connor lightly snoring when I returned to our room. When I got close enough to our bed, I grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. He stopped snoring for a couple seconds then continued snoring, rolling over onto my side of the bed. I rolled my eyes and shoved him to his side of the bed so I could climb back in. I didn't bother seeing if I'd woken him up as I pulled the covers up and tried to get more sleep before I had to get up and start the day later on.

"So what time is Quinn coming over Momma?" Sky asked while eating her breakfast. It was two weeks since her birthday and we barely had done anything but sit around at home and watch tv most days so we were planning on going somewhere to get out of the house for a few hours.
"In about forty-five minutes love. Now eat," I urged her so we could finish breakfast and be ready by the time Quinn's mom dropped her off. Sky nodded and stayed silent until she'd finished eating.
"Can I be excused?" She asked when her cereal bowl was empty.
"Yes. Now go change into your swimsuit and brush your teeth, alright?" I told her.
"Yes Momma." I watched her slide off her chair and put her empty bowl on the counter by the sink before disappearing to her room to change.
"So what do you think about having another addition?" I asked Connor, getting up from the table and going over to the sink to rinse the dishes and place them in the dishwasher.
