Sambucky

Chapter 8

Today was a mission day. This time, Sam, Bucky, and Nat went to go catch some significant criminal called Obadiah.

As they all fought together, Nat was physically killing it while Sam and Bucky were as always, protecting each other. Suddenly, Natasha was cornered.

"Go, Jamie. I'll be fine"

He didn't trust it, but he left Sam. The criminals didn't stand a chance and all on them were shot, kicked or knocked out. Obadiah showed up to see what was going on.

He had a hidden pistol in a wrist holster. Bucky deflected the bullets with his arm so Nat had a clear shot. One missed bullet could mean being hurt or killed.

Obadiah fired Sam's stomach. Sam clutched his wound in pain. Natasha delivered the final blow as Bucky made a beeline for his husband.

"Sam? Sammy?! Hold on to me PLEASE!!"

Nat called for an ambulance. Sam groaned, the brunette had started sobbing.

"Jamie..."

"Yes, honey?"

"I'll be fine."

Sam got into the ambulance while Bucky was squeezing his hand desperately.

Sam had now been in surgery for two hours. The longer it took, the more anxious he got.

Wanda and Nat were standing by Bucky the whole time.

Shuri, Tony, and Bruce walked out.

"How is he?"

"He'll be just fine Bucky. He's recovering now so you can go see him."

A wave of relief washed over him. He had bolted to the room to see if his husband had still been hurting.

Instead, Bucky sat by Sam while he was knocked out.

After a couple hours, Sam woke up with a stir.

"Hey."

"Pigeon!"

He immediately burst into tears and hugged him gently as possible.

"See? Told you I'm tough."

Sam immediately accepted the hug and pulled Bucky onto the bed.

Nat, Wanda, and the other Avengers watched it all unfold.

"They're damn perfect for each other. Right, Wanda?"

"Yes. I'd say so."

They kissed sweetly, and walked away.

Sam and Bucky cuddled without a care. They were just happy to see each other.

Very sweetly, Sam whispered sweet nothings in reassurance.
