Chapter 6

Fourth Year

3rd Person Pov-

The four marauders exited their last class of the day. walking down the halls swarming with people hurrying back to their dorms to change out of their uniforms and relax, among that swarming crowd was also Wendy, she walked next to her best friend, Regulus, having had her last class with him. Over the years Regulus stayed her friend, not really liking the Slytherins surrounding him, he opted to stay with the kind Ravenclaw, she didn't mind, particularly enjoying the boys company. Their relation quickly evolved to best friends near the end of first year. Currently they were discussing the lesson they were just in.

"It would be cool to be an Animagus, but it takes so long to actually become one" Wendy nodded in response, chuckling at the last comment.

"It's good for a transfiguration teacher though" Wendy nodded again, "yeah, like cause she is transfiguring into a cat form human and vice versa"

"yeah"

From behind them Remus finally noticed the blonde just a few meters in front of, being the tallest and most observant of his friends. He nudged Sirius who was having a heated conversation with Peter about the best Jelly Bean flavour. Currently stuck between lime and strawberry, Sirius taking the former. Looking up at his tall friend then turning to where he gestured, finally noticing the blonde girl, she stood slightly above the crowd as did the black haired boy she was walking with. 

"go and talk to her Padfoot" Remus nudged his friend forward but Sirius just recoiled back, "she is having a conversation with someone" Remus rolled his eyes and this time Peter spoke up, "when did you become a gentleman" Sirius glared at his blonde friend. "He's right, it's never stopped you before" Remus shoved him forward but again he recoiled back, they were nearing the Gryffindor common room and soon enough another excuse would come up, "fine, if you can't introduce yourself without help, I'll do it" Remus growled.

Grabbing Sirius' sleeve he pulled him forward, saying quick apologies to the people he bumped into, Remus watched as the girl and boy turned a corner, quickly pursuing them. Finally he came behind them, taping on the girl's shoulder, letting go of Sirius' sleeve. The pairs conversation stopped, the corridor was less busy and allowed them to talk as a group, peter also came up behind his friends.

Wendy and Regulus turned around to face the people behind them, coming face to face with Remus and Sirius. Regulus was less than happy to see his brother, Sirius shared those feelings, Wendy was indifferent, when she and Sirius made eye contact her insides melted and she felt funny. 

"Hi" Regulus and 

"Hi"

"I'm sorry, I was just wondering if I could introduce myself as you helped me with my astronomy and looked like a nice time to meet" Remus held a sweet smile on his face, making Wendy smile back, Sirius was now looking at his brother, as was his brother. 

"Well, my name is Wendy Tonks, nice to meet you again" she shook his hand as realisation now dawned one all three boys' faces. 

"I thought I recognised...." He was interrupted by Sirius,

"When did you get hot?" Wendy was taken aback by his upfront question, gulping, she responded, "it happens when you grow up and all of that stuff" Sirius and Wendy both made eye contact again, looking down quickly, their faces flushing. It quickly got awkward. Remus broke the silence though.

"Regulus" he stated with a nod.

"Remus"

And the awkwardness was back again, Sirius and Wendy looked back up again, not making eye contact, instead studying each others faces in looks of slight awe. Remus smiled at this, his mission was a success. Peter broke the silence now, announcing his presence. "Well this was nice, Wendy, Regulus, you guys look great, diffidently glowed up" all eyes snapped to Peter, a slight blush covering both Regulus and Wendy's faces. Remus chuckled at the comment.

"But we have to go and meet James, so goodbye and yeah" he finished with a small smile and began to walk off. Remus and Sirius nodded in agreement. "Yeah um what he said" Remus was next to leave, Sirius and Wendy had regained eye contact, the former quickly get lost in her eyes. Regulus cleared his throat and gestured to his brothers friends behind him now, waiting.

"Bye Wendy, Regulus" Sirius left, not before winking at Wendy.

Regulus and Wendy turned back around and began to walk back to their common rooms.

"Your flustered"

"What, no, no I'm not, no" Wendy stuttered out, Regulus just laughed at her answer.

"Don't lie to me Luna, I know you better than anyone and I know your lying" 

Wendy rolled her eyes "So what, I was just call hot and a guy winked at me"

"Not a guy, my annoying brother, now I will allow it but I just have one question for you"

"First of all, allow it? sorry dad. Second, when did I ask for your blessing?"

"First, he's my brother darling and I hate him" Wendy rolled her eyes knowing fully well her friend just longed for his brother to like him, but instead the hatful feelings he received. "Second, you didn't have to, now can I ask the question?"

"Yeah, spit it out"

"Why would my brother interest you? I mean of all people, him?" Wendy socked him in the arm, rolling her eyes again.

"I don't know, I don't understand feelings and that stuff, it always confused me"

"Well what does it feel like, being around him"

"I don't know, I guess when I make eye contact with him my insides melt and my stomach feels funny"

"Butterflies"

"Shut up Rege"

"You my lovely Luna, have a crush on the horrible Sirius Black" Regulus sauntered forward, nearing the entrance to get to his common room, he turned back once more,

"And I thought being smart would give you better taste"

With that he left his friend in her thoughts, what, how, why, what did this all mean, how did this happen to her, why Sirius Black? All these questions bubbled up inside her, making Wendy feel strange, when she thought of Sirius her thoughts immediately went to his gorgeous looks, but also his charming and jokester personality, he always made people laugh and for her, well he made her feel light and airy inside, like she could get lost in his eyes forever.

Oh shit....... Wendy Tonks was falling for Sirius Black!
