Chapter 2

First Year

Wendy Pov-

The compartment door sliding open interrupted Regulus' oncoming question. Both of us turned our heads to the now open door to find four boys standing in the entrance, two of the boys had smirks on their faces while the other two couldn't have been more awkward. One of the boys moved forward, he had dark black hair and a smirk on his face. 

His grey eyes scanned the compartment, stopping on me for a second, when we made eye contact a I held for a second but then turned to see Regulus lying back in his chair, a small frown plastered where a smile once was.

"So you made friends did you Rege" you kept a look on him and as he caught your eye you sent him a small, Regulus turned back to the boy and rolled his eyes.

"Yes I did Sirius, this is my friend Wendy Tonks, Wendy this is my older brother Sirius Black" I looked over at Sirius as he outstretched his hand to me, I politely took his hand and smiled, he returned the gesture. 

"Your Edwards sister aren't you?" I nodded.

When we let go I turned top see the three other boys outside the compartment. One of which was James from earlier on, he smiled at me through the window and I smiled back. The other two boys were different, one had blonde hair, he simply looked bored, the other had brown hair, he looked as if he wished they never came here.

I smiled at them both, both smiled back but blush tinted the brown haired ones face. He looked generally sweet and innocent. Tuning in now to the conversation between Sirius and Regulus all I heard was bickering. they were bickering over Hogwarts houses and which was the best, it was pointless. Thankfully James interrupted their bickering, but it's because he put the attention on me.

"And what house do you hope to be in Wendy?" I didn't know what to really answer as I didn't really care but I answered anyway.

"Maybe Ravenclaw like my brother" they nodded "I don't really care much though, any house will do as long as I'm able to go to school" they all nodded once again but then the stupid bickering began again when Sirius stated

"But Gryffindor is the best house" Regulus argued back something about Slytherin, I just rolled my eyes and sunk down into my seat.

This went on for another two minutes until the angel that is my brother knocked on the window and the marauders left, ending the useless argument.

"Hey, what were you talking about?" Xenophilius sat down next to Regulus while Ted next to me.

"Don't talk about it, idiot conversation, no more" Ted chuckled and then looked over at Regulus. I glanced over too and saw that he was just sitting there quietly. I smiled and then said "Ted, Phil, this is my new friend Regulus Black" they smiled and nodded, Phil did a small wave, Rege smiled back, "Rege this is my brother Ted and his friend, and kind of mine, Xenophilius Lovegood, but Phil works" now it was Regulus' turn to smile and nod. Ted just asked me how I was and a few other questions and then they were gone.

Regulus asked me a question about quidditch after a few silent beats and the mindless chatter was back. This went on until we changed into our robes and arrived at the infamous Hogwarts: School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

A/N- gonna do a time skip to the sorting ceremony and yeah, also comment if you actually read the author notes, just wondering cause I normally don't. Yeah but new chapter finished yay 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
