I could feel a slight smile creep upon my face as our bus approaches the entrance of our hotel. From the looks of it, the hotel was massive and quite ritzy. Palm trees line the hotels walkways as the warm breeze blew throughout the atmosphere making their leaves flutter in the wind. The architecture of the hotel itself was beautiful, with a pearly white exterior and small terracotta designs placed in specific places beside the windows, giving the institution an artsy and classy feel.
All I could say was that this scene was so picturesque, with hopeless lovers in their bathing suits entering and exiting the hotel hand in hand, to small children with their eyes aglow in hopes of having an amazing vacation.
And I was exactly like those children.
I tried comprehending why such an establishment would allow a whole class full of teenagers to run rampant throughout it's halls for the next month barely supervised. But I soon came to the conclusion that why else would they let this happen for any reason other than one, for the money. And, being that my school was a fairly high status private one, I should have expected the hotel to be nothing less than this... nothing less than perfect.
The bus soon came to a halt and I, along with the rest of the class, gathered my luggage and filed out of the bus. Making our way into the building.
As I enter the hotel, I could feel my jaw drop as I take in the scene.
The lobby was absolutely breath taking. Various crystal chandeliers adorned the high ceilings of the room. The walls were white, the floors and counter tops an ocean blue granite. Intricately designed silver metallic pillars were placed throughout the room, along with fish tanks with the most topical and colorful fish I had ever seen. There were circular carpeted areas in various places in the room that were colored white, pink and black and held modern styled black couches with silver metallic decorative pillows. Glass elevators aligned the back wall, silver, white, pink and blue décor filled the lobby from end to end, as well as lights that hadn't been turned on. It was hard to believe, but I could tell that this place was even more beautiful at night rather than now during the late afternoon.
“This place is amazing.” I say allowed, shocked and in awe. I'd never really been to a place that was so posh. Yeah I was well off, but this wasn't like anything I had ever experienced before.
“It really is...” I hear Ava's vibrant voice say from behind me before putting her chin on my shoulder.
“I can't believe this place is even real.” Ciara says wonder struck, standing beside me and placing her arm around my waist. I look over to see her gazing at the place. Eyes wide, smile wider... like a kid in a candy store.
It was cute to see how down to earth she was.
“Guys this trip is going to be amazing!” Ava says enthusiastically, moving to both Ciara and I's range of vision. “The three amigos taking over Miami! Well I mean, the three amigos and Niall but I think Addison can ditch him some of the time.” She adds, eying me down for my input.
I give her cheeky a grin before replying.
“Oh yeah, he's defiantly getting ditched.”
“Just don't get caught Addison, we don't want you getting sent back home or anything...” Ciara says slightly concerned. I shoot her a 'that's not gonna happen' look reassuring her that I wouldn't get into trouble.
Sigh, she was such a mom sometimes.
“Are you going to the beach later? Everyone's going....” Ava asks changing the subject.
“Naw, I'm so tired I just want to go to bed and never leave it.” I say, yawning right after I speak.
“I don't think that's going to fly with Niall, he defiantly said he was going.” Ciara says, raising her eyebrow and pursing her lips.
