The Rose and Its Thorns

Everyone tensed hearing the low growl. He smirked his wolfish smirk, he stared the omega down and took one step forward causing Yunyo,Jongho,San, and even Jackie all to surround him.

"I'm warning you" his deep voice took everyone by surprise. Seonghwa never took his eyes off the new omega. Not even when Mingi,Wooyoung, and Yeosang took him out of the room. Evelien pushed through the alphas to slap her son across the face. Tears in her eyes, not of sadness, of anger. With the force of the slap his head was jerked to the side. He towered over his mother and growled again, his eyes now turning to a dark almost black color and his pheromones filled the room. Yunho and Jongho, being the strongest grabbed him tightly and tried to drag him from the room.

Seonghwa laughed and easily tossed them off as if they were Ragdolls. San and Jackie stood in front of him. He tilted his head to the side and pushed his own mother to the ground. Jackie instantly running to her side. His heavy footsteps echoed in the small room the omegas retreated to. Mingi put himself between seonghwa and the other omegas. But his confidence didn't last long as he growled again making Mingi easily submit to him. One by one the other omegas fell to their knees, leaving poor Hongjoong trapped in a corner.

As the angry Alpha slowly closed in on him, he saw flashes of his past. The night he ran from his pack, tears filled his eyes and he started shaking. Before seonghwa could lay a finger on him a loud roar left his lips and he dropped to the floor like a sack of rocks. Behind him stood his mother holding what looked to be a taser in her hands.

"Yunho,Jongho. Take him to the den before he wakes up." Jackie instructed. Reluctantly they left the warm embrace of their mates and dragged seonghwas unconscious body out of the room. Evelien was at Hongjoong side trying to get him out of his panic attack.

"Sweetie, you need to breathe for me. Everything is okay." She said calmly, holding his head so he looked into her eyes. It took a while but he finally started to calm down and move from the floor to the living room couch. Mingi handed him a glass of water and he slowly took it giving silent thanks.

Jackie and Evelien we're off to the side talking in hushed whispers about what just happened.
A black haired boy sat down next to Hongjoong and smiled.

"I'm Wooyoung." He smiled wide and stuck his hand out for the blue haired boy to shake.

"Hongjoong…."

"Sorry your welcome wasn't as warm as we wanted. I'm not quite sure what exactly happened. But I promise you, we will always protect you." He winked at him as Hongjoong shook his hand.

"W-who are you guys?" Hongjoong asked.
"Well, we are one big happy pack. Seonghwa the big angry guy earlier, he's our head alpha. The two tall babies in the corner, are yunho and Mingi the first ones to become a mated pair. You obviously know Jackie and Evelien." The couch shifted on the other side of Hongjoong. "The cutie on the other side of you is my mate sannie." San smiled showing off his dimples so deep you could eat soup out of them. "And the two on the other couch sitting as far away from each other as possible, are Jongho and Yeosang. They are mates but are both awkward with cute cuddly stuff."

"Where is your pack Luna?" Hongjoong took a sip from his water.

"Oh...we uh...we don't have one…" Hongjoong was surprised. "Seonghwa tried but he never found anyone good enough."

"That's kind of being a greedy ass"

"Oh no not like that. He never found anyone good enough to take care of us. Seonghwa only wants to be with someone he knows will take care of us he's too scared he will hurt them if they get close so that also makes things difficult." Now Hongjoong was intrigued. San saw his curiosity and spoke up.

"As you saw earlier, seonghwa tends to turn into a different person when his wolf takes control. And when his wolf is in charge he will hurt anyone and everyone in his was of what he wants." They all look to evelien who is rubbing her shoulder where she fell. "Including his own mother. So he doesn't really try to find anyone. But what happened earlier when he saw you, that's never happened before. Ever. Almost like his wolf wanted you." San received a harsh slap to the back of his head.

"I think I need to get some air…." Hongjoong stood up and looked around the house a bit. Thoughts running through his head. He didn't want to bother anyone to ask for a bathroom, so he made sure everyone was busy before he walked about the house.

As his mind ran he walked past a heavy metal door, behind it he heard what sounded like growling. Being the main character he is, and not being smart enough to walk away from the noise. He decided to be cliche and open the door.

He stepped into the dark room only for the door to close behind him. He shivered slightly and looked around hoping he could see something, two glowing red eyes peaked from the darkness and were staring at him. He tensed and backed up, running into a wall. He searched the wall for a light switch and was grateful when the lights turned on. He saw a dark brown wolf chained up watching him.

"Come closer little one"
The wolf spoke. But how? I thought only packs had a mind link. He was scared but the strong pheromones that filled the room were forcing him to submit and step closer to the wolf. "My oh my, so obedient. That's it. Just a little bit more"
He wanted to run away, he wanted to go back to the others. But he couldn't. He was close enough now the wolf managed to grab onto his leg with his teeth and drag him farther into the room. Hongjoong screamed but only to be silenced by a growl as he stared up into the red eyes and bared teeth from the wolf standing over him.  He turned his neck to the side showing his neck to the alpha, he could feel the hot breath on his neck get closer and warmer….

Before the alpha got close enough to bite him he stopped… for a brief moment the pheromones stopped and Hongjoong was able to slip out from under the alpha and he made a break for the door. He was halfway out the door when the pheromones kicked up again. He stopped and looked back into the eyes of the alpha. Although it was the same aggressive angry Alpha from before. Something was different….. Hongjoong quickly left the room before he was under the alpha's spell again. He pressed his back against the heavy metal door and sighed.
