The Test

I'm sitting in the library with a nice little packet full of questions in front of me. The math looked all different but I am definitely trying my best, the English is a little bit easier then the math and the science who needs science not this girl. But I am going to try my hardest no matter the difficulty.

I went on with taking my test, they put me in a corner blocked off from the nosie people so I could take my test in peace.

"Hey psst hey you" a whisper came from somewhere.

I chose to ignore it needing to take this test.

"Hey girl." the whisper became louder.

"Who ever you are go away I'm actually trying to do something here."

The whisper got quite and I went back to doing my test. After what felt like forever I completed the test and I went to give it to the principal when someone caught my eye. He did. But I passed him and took slow deep breaths.

"Here you go sir I did all of the ones I could and tried the others and just skipped the ones I couldn't even comprehend."

"Oh that's alright, all that matters is you tried your best. You can go home or if you would like you could sit in on a few classes to get the feel of the classes and get sorta used to having people all around you."

I thought about this and sighed. "No I'm good but thank you for the offer I might take it another day before I start school"

His smile faded slightly. "Oh ok that's fine. Just know the offer stands until you start school obviously."

I smiled. "Thank you sir, have a great day and fingers crossed that I did good. "

"Oh Deanna you know you did you best who knows maybe your alot smarter then you think. " he smiled and turned away.

"Thank you sir."

He turned back and waved. "Oh Deanna there's a door that let's you out on the side of the school that way you can avoid people for now. "

"Very much appreciated sir. "

I waved and started for the door that he was talking about when something caught my eye.

"Hey there pretty lady. " his voice was deep and unknown.

I started to panic on the inside. Maybe Kaleb got someone to get me. He said he would know where I would always be.

"Well be rude then. I didn't want to talk to you anyways. "

I turned slightly to see who it was that was talking and it was him. I let out a slow breath of relief.

"Sorry I just, I'm not used to talking to people. " I spoke quietly

"Oh that's alright so new girl where are you headed to. Skipping on the first day?"

"No I haven't started yet. Why are you so curious."

"Because a pretty girl like you would most likely be in class talking with her "best" friends." he had a smug look on his face.

"Well no and I've got to go. Bye now. " I turned and walked away without another word.

"Bye Deanna see you Wednesday."

That stopped me completely. I turned around but he was gone. I started to freak out and walk home faster. I started feeling eyes on me again. But when I looked around no one was there. I started running. I was almost home when I heard his voice.

"Deanna... "

He's taunting me. The door was in my grasp when I felt his slimy hold. I let out the loudest scream I could ever let out.

My mom came running out the door with dad on her heals.

"Daddy!!" I tried reaching for him but I was pulled back.

I screamed one last time then I heard a gun shot everything froze. Time, breathing,even the air, I felt the grip on me tighten as I was being pulled back even further. We hit the ground and hard.

It was then that I felt something warm on my shirt I looked over to see it was Cameron. I couldn't stop the screams coming from my mouth as I saw his lifeless eyes. I was crying hysterically when my mom finally pulled me from his dead arms. She cradled me for a while.

I was brought inside so my dad could call in what happened.

"Deanna are you ok did he hurt you?!?!" my moms voice was frantic but far away.

I guess you could say I zoned out into shock. It was peaceful to actually not be afraid to not die.

My mom slapped me across the face. "Deanna!!!"

It brought me back to reality but I just stared at her.

"Come on Dee he's gone everything is ok now your perfectly safe. He's dead he won't ever be able to hurt you ever again. "

"Ok" my answer was short.

"Are you ok?" she seemed panicked.

"Yes why wouldn't I be?" it's avoiding the obvious but I didn't want to talk about it at all.

They noticed the change but left it alone. I went up to my room shut the door and just ignored everything for the next few hours.

"Deanna" a light whisper came

I just shut my eyes and turned up the music and skipped songs until I found a loud rap song. I blasted it as loud as I could. I mean how loud could you get Let's Go especially when it's got Lil Jon and Trick Daddy.

"Ohh Deanna, you can't drown me out by music no matter how hard you try. I'm but a voice in this precious little head of yours. Nothing could get rid of me not even you. "

"Get out of my head get out get out get out!!" I wanted the voice gone but it just laughed at me.

"Soon. You will see."
