Chapter 1- The Beginning

Hi y'all! Are you all ready to go on a crazy literature adventure with me? So this is going to be official beginning of "Are You Worth It?". Hope you enjoy and remember to comment any feedback, mistakes, etc. Have fun!

Cassidy's p.o.v.
Hi, my name is Cassidy Elizabeth Torrea. I'm Dauntless. Or at least that's what my file says, but if you asked me, I would say Erudite without hesitation. I've always known in my heart that on my Choosing Day, a single drop of my blood would fall into the bowl containing the pure water that represents Erudite.

My outside appearance is quite bland. Long caramel colored hair, hazel eyes, and a slim body that's from my fast metabolism not exercise. I'm short for 15, only 5'2. I'm not pretty enough to stand out in a room but I'm okay with that because I feel like all the attention would be suffocating.

One of the reasons I've always known I belong to Erudite is because of my inability to be Dauntless. I'm not brave at all and I prefer curling up in our subpar library rather than fighting. Even when I go to mandatory training, I choose the least dauntless class: gun shooting. This class allows me concentrate on aiming instead of killing, and I don't actually have to do anything physical besides pull the trigger. Yes, I am indeed aware of the fact that I'm a wimp.

Now you might be thinking, if not Dauntless then why not Amity, or Candor, or Abnegation? Why Erudite? Well I'll tell you why. I can't be Amity because, although it sickens me, the feeling of blowing the head of a dummy with my gun sends a cool feeling of satisfaction down my spine. Plus, I think I would die if I was around so many happy people all the time. Candor is also out because I lie on a daily basis. I lie to my parents about rock climbing down the Chasm just so I can go to the library without them calling me a nerd. Finally, I can't be in Abnegation because if it comes down to it, I would willingly kill someone to save myself. Wow, I just realized I'm a horrible person. Whatever.
