Charlotte's POV

I wake up to the sun seeping through the cracked windows and notice that my phone is being blown up by twitter notifications. I take the phone next to my pillow and look at the DMs:

@Izzy123Lizzy: OMG! CONGRATZ!!!! <3

@Phillip_927:How does all of the glory feel? XD

@SandraHoran_1D:  I'm so proud of you hitting 100k! I have watched you since the beginning and am glad that I stayed with you through it all!! <3333 ~Sandra

Wait, WHAT?!?!? I throw my phone down on the floor, by accident, and open up my laptop. I get on YouTube and look at my subscriber count. 100,023. HOLY CRAP!!!!! I dance and jump on my bed and have a little party for myself. I stop when my roomate, and bestfriend Melanie, busts through the door.

"What the hell is going on in here?"

"Oh you know, just me hitting 100,000 SUBSCRIBERS!!!"

"OH MY GOD, CHARLIE!!!"

She came over and hugged me so tight i couldn't breathe.

"Stop, I'm dying..."

"Oh, sorry! I'm just so happy for you! I remember when I helped you set up for your first video in 2011 and I don't regret it at all! You're lucky that this happened or I would've been really pissed off at you since you woke me up at 9:30! But, you got away with this so good for you!"

I smile at her and we walk into the kitchen. She said that she would me make me breakfast as a treat for my accomplishment and I did not argue with her what so ever. Rarely she volunteers to do stuff like this, but she knows how much YouTube means to me. She brings over a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon, my favorite.

"Thanks, Mel."

"No problem, Charlie."

I really like my nickname of Charlie. Even though it's mostly used as a boy's name, I like the feel of it and how it sounds for a girl, like me.

We finish up breakfast and get ready for the day. We start talking to each other about what we should do for the day.

"How about we go jogging? It's really nice today in Los Angeles."

We burst out into laughter at the thought of us running. So, we stay inside and watch Netfilx. While watching Gossip Girl, Mel asks me,

"Hey, what are we gonna do for your birthday? It's comin up in a week and we still haven't planned anything."

I pause the TV and think for a second.

"Uh, how about we go to a movie?"

"Nah, too lame."

"Hey, it's my birthday and I get to pick what we get to do, so chill."

"All right fine, take your pick then."

I'm going to be turning 22 and I still haven't done anything with my life that's ever going to change it. Except for YouTube.

"Oh! I know! How about we-"

I get cut off by an email popping up on my phone. My eyes widen at the message and I start freaking out. I quickly respond by saying YES OF COURSE and shut my phone off.

"Um, what was that?"

"Mel, that was Vidcon inviting me to it for a meet-up!! They know that it's short notice, but they let the people coming know that I'll be there too!"

"Holy shit, that's awesome!!! So when is it?"

"Uh, June 23-24."

"Hey that's on your birthday!"

"Well then, I know just what to do when I turn 22."

My first chapter!!! Let me know how it is and I'll take it into consideration. I don't when my next chapter will be out, but I will make another one because I'm having so much fun doing this! -Lilah xx
