"Hey Taylor, look what I found!" Katie sang at the top of her voice although I was sitting right beside her in the store room because she needed company.
The shout out was for a particular person, who came running as though he already knew what it was.
"You put that back to its place right this instant or...", Edward growled, enraged seeing his short pants in Katie's hand.
"Oh well, well, well, long time no see shorties", she greeted the dreadfully pink cloth in her hand.
"How about I post a selfie with these cuties Eddie boy? Imagine how joyful their journey will be remembering you in these pinkies", Katie sang in a dramatic voice.
"And how about I post your 'I am an alien pic', I'm sure they'll roll down laughing at your face", he snapped back.
And they went on and on...

The Day Taylor Moved In...
When we arrived at the door of my new house, we learned that Halsey was not home after five minutes of impatient banging.
Katie gave me an earful for not calling her beforehand, while I stood there searching for the spare key Halsey had given me. Maybe she knew that she would not be here when we arrived.
The door opened with a click, revealing an empty hall. The house wasn't large enough to let out an echo with all the furniture, but my inner child still wanted to try, which of course went in vain.
I just wanted to try it, don't people do it when they move into a new house?
"Children do this Taylor, but of course you are a twenty-one-year-old child", Katie mocked as if she read my mind.
I went straight to my room, ignoring her comment.
The room smelled of fresh paint, the walls were painted white and light pink, with little flowers and butterflies painted at the lower corners of the walls. There was a window to the right that gave view to the garden.
"Wait there is a garden here, but how do you go there? I didn't see any way to get there", I wondered while Katie looked around the room in awe.
"Halsey really has a big heart, the furniture is completely new and look at the cute butterflies. I guess I'll be having a lot of sleep overs", she said excitedly, filming each and every corner of the room, while I went to kitchen to make some coffee.
I'd be the lucky one if there are a lot of sleep overs, I don't want to be left alone in this far place. Although, this place is not that far and I'm okay with staying alone, I'm scared.
I might not be able to manage everything, or they might forget about me as I'm far away from them.
What if I get homesick and want to run away. Mom will kick me out without looking back. I miss her already.
"Hey Taylor! Let's go check out the garden", Katie called from the room.
I turned to reply splattering the decoction all over my pants. I placed the mug on the counter and ran to the bathroom to get them cleaned.
"Kat, get me a pair of pants from my bag, I spilled coffee on these", I shouted.
"You are such a baby. I'll be there in a few minutes. Wash them before they get stained", she replied.
"Yes, big sister but please hurry!"
I started to clean my pants in the sink with just my shirt on, that was tucked in my pants. It was long enough to cover my mid thighs and I had no problem with Katie seeing my bare legs.
