Craig didn't know a whole lot about the situation yet. He focused on what was important and wrote it down on a whiteboard.
- Apple headquarters attacked and destroyed
- Tim Cook has been taken hostage by attackers
- The iPhone still needs to be released!!
He circled that last one.
Craig wasn't sure if it was still safe to go outside anymore. If Tim was taken hostage, they might have been coming for his right-hand man as well. Even though he knew that action had to be taken to release that iPhone online, he also wanted to ensure his safety at the same time.
He needed to weigh both the pros and cons of leaving the safety of his comfortable home: he would get to assess the damage to Apple Park himself, but at the same time, he would be exposing himself to the wide-open world where he could be targeted by anyone. After a long debate with himself, Craig reached a consensus.
He would go out.
