Zelle and I locked eyes.

"What should I say?"

Her eyes seemed brighter than before.

"Why're you lookin so awesome? Well, with 'your' mindset, it makes sense that you'd get overwhelmed by something like this," she stated, rolling her eyes, and swaying her head to the side.

"Was she coming back for me already..."

"So, you changed your mind or were you too scared to go back?"

"I..." "Should I tell her?"

"Actually, that wouldn't make sense because 'why' would you go forward... Did you realize the elephants are quiet because they're hunting us, and you'd rather be able to fight than get mauled a couple dozen times... 'if' you're lucky?"

"W-what!?"

She looked at me and smiled. "You know what, the reason doesn't matter, you're here 'now' and that's worth something!" She offered me her hand in assistance.

"The elephants are hunting us," I replied, grabbing her hand.

"You know, I 'can't' keep repeatin things to you... "

"Why would they be hunting us?!"

"Stop asking bad questions before I swing on you," she calmly exclaimed, heaving me towards her.

"No more avoiding my questions after this!" Snatching away, I extended my index finger and took a breath, shifting the energy from my feet to my hand.

The jarring frequency below attacked my senses as it disrupted the energy in my body, stunning me.

"Stop! What are you doing," she exclaimed, slapping my hand. "Do you want me to carry you or something?!" Placing her finger on my chest, she quickly swiped to my lower abdomen.

In a sudden shift I could feel it move back to the ground, relieving the sensation.

"Okay, let's go that won't last long... and your 'leg's' gross, we need to fix it," she huffed, sauntering down the path.

"How would we fix it!?" I quickly caught up, using the impressions she left to avoid the sharp grass and scanning every vine we passed.

"Stop doing that. Go through 'your' trial properly or I'll send you back," she declared, moving adjacent to me, and crossing her arms.

My feet screamed as the ungiving grass welcomed themselves once again, sending a momentary shock through my body with each step.

"She's still upset..."

"What was that," she casually asked, refusing to look in my direction.

"What?"

"The way you pulled that energy, you 'tryin' to hurt yourself?"

"I was manifesting," I smugly replied, raising my nose.

"Manifesting 'what' exactly..."

"Is it just the ground here... What's my plan now..."

"Wow, I guess I should've come back sooner, cause you 'don't' listen." She rifled through her hair until the long locs fell down her back.

"But I just did it," I boomed. "Did she say come back?"

"...Maybe you shouldn't be allowed to 'talk' either."

Zelle swung her sword, severing the second from last as it twitched.

"You think I can't do it?!"

She ignored me, wrapping her hair into another bun.

Stepping off the path my feet sank into wet clay, barely reaching my ankles. Sunlight beamed on us in another moist wave of heat. Large trees and red bushes wildly grew as far as I could see, covering any possibility- -of a new path.
