8.Yaz

We stood in shock.  Brooklynn ran out with tears in her eyes as Yaz stood with a hand on her cheek
-I'll talk to her-Kenji left and I walked over to Yaz
-All right?-
- Yes-she smiled slightly and went back to wiping the dishes.  Ben prodded me and made me talk to her and they left
-Listen Yaz ... I wanted to apologize to you.  I was the one who said you kissed - in an instant, Yaz fell to the floor and started crying
-I just want to go home and forget about it all-I sat down next to her and hugged her.  We sat there on the floor until I felt her steady breathing which meant she fell asleep.  Kenji appeared in the kitchen
-Yaz ...-
-Shhhh ... she fell asleep-he sat down next to us and only now I noticed a red mark on his cheek
-What happened?-
-I had a fight with Brooklynn.  I feel this is the end of our relationship. He leaned his head against the cupboard and looked at Yaz.  A small smile appeared on his face
- I'll take her to bed.  She should have a good rest - he took her in his arms and headed for the exit
-Kenji?-He turned to me
-Thank you for looking after Yaz-he nodded and left, and I finished wiping the dishes.
* POV BROOKLYNN *
I can't believe Kenji prefers her to me.  After all, there is nothing special about Yasmina.  I have traveled the whole world, not her.  I wiped away my tears and lay down on the bed
-Hey, I'm interrupting?-When I looked at the door, Darius was standing there
-What do you want?-He sat down on the bed
-Talk-I got up and sat down near him
-Why did you do that? How did you hit Yaz?-
-He deserved it.  Because of her, Kenji spends less and less time with me.  There's always only Yaz-
-Are you jealous? About Yaz?-He started to laugh
-What's funny about that?-
-Nothing, just ... you are smart, pretty and you have visited the whole world.  If Kenji can't see it then he's not worth you-
-But I love him-
-Give yourself time and you better sleep-he got up
-Goodnight B-
-Good night-he left, and I turned off the light and lay down thinking about everything.
