Jungkook had never seen such a beautiful person in his life. The boy standing in front of him was ethereal. But he was sick. The nasal cannula he was wearing said it all. Is uncle that desperate to kill this boy. He thought. The boy seemed like a failure to him. An obstacle in his path. Jungkook could not let a sick boy destroy his dream. So, he let anger overtake his senses and shouted taking everyone by surprise.
"Have you gone crazy uncle? "
"Agent JK you should keep your anger in check before talking to me. I am not going to tolerate your True Blood alpha sh*t." Mr. Lee said glaring at the ravenette. Jungkook took a deep breath and said "This does not make any sense."
"Agent JK you and your team have not done anything significant in these six months. It's only appropriate that I interfere in the matter now." Mr. Lee said glaring at him. "But that does not mean that you will put anyone in my team and I will readily accept it." Jungkook said glaring at the boy standing beside his leader "Just look at him! An omega who cannot even breathe on his own."
The boy said nothing. He just kept staring at the True Blood refusing to look away. The tension in the air was thick and suffocating. "Give him a chance and you will know what the sick boy can do." Mr. Lee said smirking. "Why don't you give him the pen drive you found a week ago?" Hearing this Jungkook was taken aback. "How did you know?" He asked the old man.
The man gave a hearty laugh and said "What did you think Jungkook that if you wouldn't tell then I would not know about it? I have been in this field for more years than you have been in this world my child. So, you cannot fool me easily."
"Even I have not been able to do anything with it till now, then what will he do. Let's not waste time uncle Lee. In the end he would be the only one at loss." Junghoon intervened giving the boy a disgusted glare.
"Kim taehyung." Everyone was surprised hearing the deep voice that came out of the delicate boy's mouth. "Call me by my name instead of calling me a sick boy or an omega. I would be obliged." Taehyung said mocking them. Jungkook was impressed by his confidence but that did not mean that he was ready to take him in.
"Listen boy I am not willing to take up a liability in this team. The mission is dangerous and you will definitely be the first one dead if you do it." He tried to put some sense into Taehyung's head. "Who said I am going on missions? I am going to be the hacker and strategist. And you don't have to worry about my safety team captain Jeon. I know how to protect myself."
"You really think that you can take my place kid" Junghoon intervened. Rage visible in his eyes. "Go home. Take your medicines and sleep. Stop dreaming." Taehyung just rolled his eyes making sure the people knew how irritated he was listening to their narrow minded arguments. "I never intended to take your place. I thought that I was going to work on a team but since you are that eager, so now let me really do it." He said keeping his tone sassy.
Others were quite impressed by his confidence especially Jimin and Namjoon. They both could see the fire and determination in the boys eyes. "Let's give him a chance kook. I think he has potential." Jimin voiced out his opinion. Jungkook just looked at him with a questioning gaze. "Me too." Namjoon said raising his hand. "Let's not judge him before he gets a chance to prove himself. It would be unfair towards him."
"Ok! So, it's decided then. Taehyung is going to hack into the pen drive software and form the strategy of the mission." Mr. Lee said smiling and giving Taehyung a comforting look.
Nodding his head, Taehyung took the pen drive and sat down on the table. He took out his hacking supplies and got to work without any delay. Jungkook huffed and went outside the room. Slowly everyone left, leaving only Taehyung ,Jimin, Namjoon and Mr. Lee in the room.
3 hours later
Taehyung had been working without a break for the past three hours. Jungkook and the others had returned an hour ago to see what the sick kid was up-to. Everyone had taken up one work or the other in order to keep themselves busy when suddenly they saw Taehyung jump from his seat and yell in excitement.
