Chapter 8

Emily's POV:

Maybe I should have told her who he is. I DIDNT THINK IT WOULD GO THIS FAR!! Damn it, Mollie. I don't know how she figured it out.

"I... I think I'll just go." Cameron said.

"Please do." I say very quietly to myself.

"Oh, um... Don't forget your phone." Mollie said.

Really Mollie.... REALLY. I COULD HAVE SHOWED HER PROOF OF HIS CRIMES.

"Bye guys." Cameron said while closing the door.

"He's so "iffy"."

"What did you say?" Mollie said.

SHIT I SAID IT OUT LOUD.

"Nothing." I say blowing it off.

"No... You said something. ABOUT CAMERON." She said starting to get angry.

"No... Mollie I-

"I know he seems kind of strange or "iffy" but you really don't know him." She said.

"THE THING IS MOLLIE I DO. I KNOW HIM WELL." I say.

I did not mean to blow up like that.

"SHUT IT. I'm leaving." She says.

Riley is just standing there with a shocked face. What we like to call the "WHAT-TO-DO FACE."

"No, I have proof I swear." I say.

"Ok then. Let me see it." She says sitting down on the bed.

"Hold on a second. I'll pull it up." I say.

I get on my laptop and look up "Cameron Murder Court Hearing"

Boom. It was there.

"What is this?" I say finishing her sentence.

"It specifically says "Not Guilty" right there. He didn't do it." She says.

"I'm not saying to stop seeing him, but be careful. I don't want you to end up like this girl.

I say and quote: Picture this,you see a sweet girl in the park. You walk over to her, you talk to her, you feel "a connection" then she leaves. How do you know if you'll find the same girl? The same type of person? The answer is... You won't. So you do a "little searching" and you casually run into her in the store."

"He plans it all out Mollie, how do you know he's not lying straight to your face." I say.

"I don't." She says looking up at me, then looking down.

I notice a tear fall.

"Come here Mollie."

We embrace a hug.

"I thought he cared."
