"YOU TWO!" a security guard yelled."DAMIAN, RUN!" I screamed before bolting out of the main quad.
"Y/N!" I heard him call out after me.
As we both ran through the second floor of the building, we began yelling at each other, scolding one another.
"I TOLD YOU THE FISH WOULDN'T GO IN THERE!" he yelled at me.
"HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHICH ONE WAS THE RIGHT PIPE?!" I yelled back.
"YOU HAD ONE JOB!"
"A HARD JOB!"
"I SEE THAT NOW!" he said, grabbing my hand and pulling me down the stairs.
I couldn't believe that I had gotten us caught. I didn't mean to but in all honesty the mop had it out for me and I dropped the stupid fish bucket.
Suddenly, Damian stopped running and froze dead in his tracks.
"What are you-" I panted, my hands on my knees, as I looked up.
I saw the security guard, he was furious.
"He took the elevator, didn't he?" I groaned.
"Yes. Yes, he did," Damian sighed.
"Let's go, you two. Detention for a week," the guard said as he grabbed the back of my sweater.
"Hey! Watch it! It's new!" I said, clawing at the guard.
"Dude, let her go!" Damian protested, trying to peel the guard's grip off my hoodie.
The security guard looked back at Damian, his eyes angry and screaming "I don't get paid enough for this shit!"
The security guard let me go and said, "Report to detention immediately after school. Immediately or else it'll cost a suspension,"
Damian and I looked at each other and without thinking twice we ran out of the school. I hurried out to the football field, Damian following.
"Hold on!" he exhaled, falling to his knees, "It's so... much... running,"
I walked back over to him, "Get up, I don't want to get suspended!"
"Just let me breathe-"
"I thought you were on the basketball team! Don't you guys run like... I don't know! Forever!?"
"Relax," he exhaled, panting, "No... it was... leg day..."
"Oh, lord," I huffed, "Come on, we need to get over the fence,"
He hauled himself up to his feet and quickly walked over to the fence with me.
"Help me up," I said as I started to climb the fence.
"I'm tired, princess," he said, struggling to give my feet stability.
"I told you to stop calling me that," I hissed, "Just because of that stupid princess birthday party picture... you all call me that,"
"Get... over it," he groaned. "I can't help you," he said, falling to his knees, " I rest here,"
I jumped back down, "Oh my gosh, stop being dramatic. Look who's the damsel in distress now," I helped him up and over the fence, shoving him over before I jumped to join him on the other side. "God, you weigh like a thousand pounds,"
"I'm just bulking, stop it," he whined as we slowly walked back in the direction of home.
The next morning I had planned to see Damian in first period, we usually walked together but this morning his father had dropped him off.
