'Hi, could you just pick me up at like 6.45 and not right now?' You ask Danny on the phone. Your eyes are shut and you have a hand pressed against your forehead, happy Danny is not able to see your (very) stressed expression. 'Yes, I can. Mind telling me why?' Danny replies 'I, uh, forgot I had a meeting scheduled for today... Sorry baby'. You can hear Danny laugh over the phone 'Of course. When do you have it?' You look down at the screen in front of you showing you some of your colleagues and let out a sigh. 'Right now actually. We took a little break so I thought I should call you. So you wouldn't show up too early and end up having to listen to this bullshit'

You've been stuck in this meeting for the past almost hour and a half now, and you still haven't really gotten anywhere. No one was willing to make a decision and properly listen to the other people talking. It was hell honestly. You were supposed to be getting ready for your date tonight, but instead you're stuck here. Luckily they agreed on only discussing for another half hour and if they still don't have an idea everyone accepted they'd schedule another meeting at the end on the week. For the sake of your sanity, you were hoping that this would be done soon, because you don't think you can sit through this again next week. 

'How's the meeting?' Danny's voice snapped you out of your thoughts. You can't stop yourself from letting out a whine and reply 'I want to stab everyone...' This made Danny laugh, he could hear how annoyed you were and he also knows how much you hate meeting from work. 'Well, as long as you don't get blood all over your dress, baby. Since we have dinner reservations' He always managed to make you feel a bit better and laugh. 'Well, thank you for enabling me. I'll be sure to be careful' 'I love you, baby'.

You could hear someone start talking again on your laptop 'Ahh, I have to get back to my meeting Danny, sorry. I'll see you when you get here'. Danny hummed, followed by 'Goodluck baby, don't kill anyone.' You quickly hung up and got ready for the last half hour of your meeting, hoping they'd figure something out to fix their problem.

At around 6.20pm you were finally done with the meeting and you quickly got up to get ready. You grabbed the dress from the bed that Danny picked out for you and brought it to the bathroom with you. You changed into the dress and tried your best to do something with your, slightly greasy, hair. After a few struggles of getting it to stay in place you were happy with how it looked. Not the best, but good enough to go out with. You and Danny have been dating for a while now and the both of you weren't really that bothered with always looking perfect for dates anymore. It's nice to dress up every now and again, but not looking the best was also accepted. You did some light makeup and as you were putting on mascara you heard the door open.

'Still alive after the meeting?' Danny said with a smile as he walked towards you, arms open to hug you. 'Luckily I did. And we got a solution so now I don't have another hell meeting next week' You immediately felt your body relax as Danny wrapped his arms around you in a tight hug. He placed a soft kiss on your temple. When you both let go after a minute he placed his hand on your jaw, making you look at him. 'Kiss?' He asked and you quickly nodded your head, already leaning in closer to him. You kissed him and when you've finally had to pull away to breathe he looked down at his watch on his wrist. 'You almost done baby? Think we should leave soon to be on time'. 'Yes,' You said 'just one more thing' and you gave him another quick kiss on his lips before making your way over to the bedroom again. A smile on your face as you hear Danny laugh 'Good one'.

He grabbed a jacket for you while you put on your shoes. 'Here you go baby' He said as he helped you put it on. He opened the door for you and grabbed your hand 'Since it's not too far away we can also walk if you want to. Otherwise we can always take the car' Danny said and looked at you, waiting for your answer. 'Walking is fine' You said 'Plus I get to hold your hand the whole time' Danny replied with a laugh. He gave you another kiss on your head and pulled you by the arm. 'Let's go then. I'm getting hungry'
