'Do you want to get married someday?' Danny asks. His fingers are running through your hair. Your head is in his lap as you're both on the couch after a long day. You open your eyes to look up at him, not expecting him to ask that so suddenly. It takes a while for you to realise what he asked. 'I don't think so,' you say, 'why the question?' Danny shrugs his shoulders and looks down at you in his lap. 'I was just wondering. Some family members are getting married and made me realise I never asked you. Just wanted to know what you think about it,' he explains to you. 'Hmm, ok,' you hum. Danny doesn't respond for a minute and just stares at the TV on the other side of the room. 'Why don't you want to get married? Like, tell me your ' he asks, softly speaking. 'I just don't feel like it does anything more for a relationship. It's not that you will love the other person more when you're married. You can also just get rings and call each other husband or wife,' you explain. Danny grabs one of your hands and starts playing with it. A moment later you feel something sliding down onto your finger. You look down and see he took off one of his rings and is now sliding it on your finger. Only problem is, is that his fingers are a little bigger and the ring doesn't seem to stay on.
'Could do that, yes.' Danny agrees with what you said. He takes your hand and brings it up to his face to kiss it. You smile at the gesture. 'What was that for?' you smile. Danny shakes his head laughing. 'Don't know, just felt like I should do that.' You roll your eyes. 'You made me forget what I was gonna say. Ah, I think the day where you get married could be fun though. With all your friends and family and a good party afterwards. But then again, could also just invite everyone out here, decorate the backyard and have just as much fun. I don't think I need a wedding or marriage.' As you're rambling on all Danny can do is keep staring at you. He always does admire you when you're going on and on about something. He just loves listening to you talk, doesn't matter about what. 'Now that you explain it like that it seems kind of weird to do.' He laughs. 'But I must say getting rings and having a backyard party does sound really good.' You nod your head, already imagining what you could do in the yard. It is quite a big space so there is enough room to decorate and put down some tables and chairs for everyone.
'And you? What do you think about marriage and all that?' you wonder. Danny thinks for a second before replying. 'I grew up with the idea that you had to get married to show that you're taken and in love. But after hearing you out, not getting married sounds equally as good. Never felt that it was really necessary, but it could be fun to get married and have a whole fun day. But hearing about how tiring it is to be around people the whole day and be so busy planning it does not sound too good. Were both more introvert so I think we would die and kick everyone out at like 7pm.' He keeps playing with your hand as he talks. You try to sit up a little better. 'Didn't even think about that. It is a lot of work and a lot of people!' you gasp, 'I mean, our families aren't that big, and only like a few friends. But to have to be around them for a whole day is way too much, wow.'
'So, what's it gonna be for you?' Danny asks. 'Does this mean you want to get married if it's in the backyard?' He is looking at you with a smile, waiting for an answer. 'I wouldn't mind getting married to you. But we could also just buy those cute frog rings and just have a normal party in the backyard. Would be just as much fun. And then we don't have to spend the most ungod amount of money on planning a whole wedding. Just make dinner and get a lot of snacks and drinks,' you say. 'I think,' Danny says, 'That is a wonderful idea. When are we planning it?' You laugh at his quick response. 'Sometime when I finally want to get up off this couch, so it's not gonna be anytime soon.'

These are the rings I was thinking of by the way, they're cute. I could see Danny wear these, to be honest :)
