⊢ Saura

"Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday Theo!" I sang. Today is my son's 7th birthday. It's kinda sad that I have never given him a proper birthday celebration yet. He seems content with it though, but I still want him to experience the birthday celebration other kids have. We usually spend his birthday doing things that make him happy. This year, Theo said he wants to paint and go biking with me. I always agree to what Theo wants to do, as it's all I can do for him. While taking his cupcakes to place on the table, I felt a tap on my leg. "Mommy, there's someone at the door" Theo said pointing to the door. Weird, am I expecting someone today?

"Good morning miss, are you Kim Saera?" this girl in a suit asked. I nodded, suddenly remembering that I have applied for being a housekeeper or a babysitter. Kim Saera is my real name, but people here in Australia seem to pronounce Saura instead, so I just went along with it. "Good to know, well I'm here to say that someone hired you to be their housekeeper. Here is the contact info to the house owner, please contact them immediately. Have a good day" she said as she walked away.

Theo asked me what it was about, and I told him I had a job now. He was very happy about it, which made me happier than I already was. "Congrats, mommy! I know you wanted a job for so long now!" he said while hugging me.

Theo and I went back to the kitchen to blow the candle. "Make a wish, baby!" I told Theo as I lit the candle on fire. He closed his eyes, and blew the candle. He looked very excited, I was curious so I asked him, "What was your wish? You look very enthusiastic". My son then looked at me, and laughed. I was kinda confused, until he spoke. "Mommy, wishes aren't supposed to be told. If you tell someone else your wish, it won't come true" he told me while throwing the candle away. We then sat down and ate the cupcakes my friend gave me yesterday. It was red velvet flavor, which Theo liked a lot.

I soon then had to tell Theo that I had to leave him alone at the house for a while, but I will come back every night. I let him stay at my sisters house for the meanwhile, which he didn't mind because he had some friends and cousins there.
