We're sure you are... and believe it or not, so are we! So, for once, I'll forgo the further rambling and give you the prompt:
Write a science fiction story that contains the following three things

A cat - blame CarolinaC, Nablai and elveloy for this one.

A BDO - this stands for "Big Dumb Object", and if you want more of an explanation, check out the Ooorah Guide to SciFi Subgenres!

A cooking recipe - and not just a mention of one, we want to see the actual recipe, ingredients and instructions on what to do with them.
All stories must be written in English, must be a maximum of 3000 words long (including the recipe) fit the prompt, and qualify as SciFi. We only accept new stories written for this contest. Also, the decisions of the judging team are final and won't be discussed.
In this round, only 8 of the 16 contestants will move on. In case of a tie, a repechage Drabble round will decide.
