"Dude, are you seriously going to pull the fire alarm over an algebra test?" Jaime laughed looking over at his, currently insane, best friend, walking down the halls to their first class.

"Hell yeah I am, the exam is second period and I didn't study." Vic pulled open the door to classroom looking over at Jaime his voice serious "Ladies first." Jaime glared at Vic who had finally cracked a smile, then entered.

"You aren't going to study anyway, you twat." Jaime said, looking in disbelief at Vic.

Vic turned towards Jaime and broke into a huge grin."No, I'm not going to study, but now I have more time to think about studying, and then blow it off because why bother"

The two sat down next to each other in the back of the room. The teacher for first period on Thursdays was about four feet tall and a hundred years old. She also enjoyed long talks about punctuation and grammar. She wasn't very popular. Most kids used her class to sleep, text, or in Vic's case plot how to pull the fire alarm without being noticed. So far he had decided his best bet was to find a crowded hallway and go for it. Anything was better then algebra exams, right?

The class passed sooner then expected, especially in Vic's case. Gathering his books, he looked back at Jaime, who had been trailing him out of the room.

"I'm going to the freshman hallway, see you on the front lawn." Vic said confidently. Jaime rolled his eyes, and started slowly making his way to his locker, knowing that he wouldn't be able to get there if Vic actually pulled the alarm. Not that Jaime doubted Vic.

Vic began weaving his way in and out of high schoolers eventually making it into the ever hectic freshman hall. Vic was lucky today, the fire alarm was by a giant clump of kids. Quickly walking up to the cluster, Vic meandered in the area for a about thirty seconds, Looking towards the wall he quietly said to himself,

"Now or never"

Before he could hesitate he stuck out his hand and yanked down the cold metal bar.

If you've ever seen a cattle stampede, this was comparable. As the shrill screech of the alarm rang through the building, the students panicked.

God bless these teachers, Vic thought looking at the adults trying to maintain some sort of order. It wasn't really working out for them. It was like trying to herd panicked alpacas, difficult and rather absurd.

Vic, in the midst of the panic had made it back up to the senior hallway and was now being herded out with rest of his grade. Locating Jaime, Vic darted in and out of the startled teens until he had reunited with his best friend.

"Way to go man!" Jaime remarked, trying to suppress laughter "I'm surprised you pulled that off!

"You doubted me?" Vic retorted snappily, eyebrow raised.

"Well you'd think after the third time in six months, they'd watch a little more carefully." Jaime said.

"Or I'm just amazing." Vic suggested cockily.

"Just keep telling yourself that" A new voice entered the conversation. Both Vic and Jaime immediately looked behind them. The voice belonged to Tony Perry, another senior and friend of theirs.

"Yo Tony, what's up." Jaime laughed. Jaime was always in a good mood.

"I need more coffee," Tony immediately flinched at the sight of the sun. The majority of the high school had been driven out into the front lawn of the school. Based on the other three times it had been done it would take about twenty minutes before anyone did anything so that would leave fifteen minutes of second period left.
