"You aren't supposed to be here, Elijah", she said coldly and walked past him.

Elijah caught her left wrist and stopped her. She closed her eyes and froze at the touch. His hands felt warm and strong like before.

"Lora, please listen to me", he said looking dispirited and forlorn.

"It's Loralie", she said defiantly as she struggled to set her hands free.

"Look at me", there be a bit of impatience in his voice "Please."

Memories flashed in front of her eyes, memories of the past, memories that were bitter, memories that she despised the most. He took one step towards Loralie but she took back another to restrain him. As their eyes met, she felt her heart skip a beat. There must be something in his gray eyes for her fury, her anger was gone for the moment.

She took a deep breath and looked away.

"You're eyes still have the charms, Loralie Wilson", he said.

She blushed unknowingly, her cheeks hot. When she realized, she held herself stiff and upright.

"Go home, El", there was a serious note of command in her voice. She threw an incredulous look at him and left.
