It was around six-thirty in the evening. Darkness spread like a curtain over the gigantic building as the sun had taken a dive behind the hills. There was a sense of boredom in the still summer air. All employees left the office totally exhausted due to the hectic and busy schedule. She was the only person left.
She heaved a great sigh and smiled as her work for that day was finally over. She shut down the computer, got up from the chair and smoothed her creased skirt. Then, she picked up her scarf and pulled her leather bag onto her shoulders. The keys rattled as she locked her cabin. The sound of her heels reverberated around the silent hallways as she made her way through them.
"Hey!" a familiar, curt voice called out.
She turned towards the voice. There was a boy standing in front of her. He couldn't have been much older than she was - twenty two or possibly twenty three. He was wearing a checked shirt and an ordinary pair of jeans.
"El", she said it under her breath.
