Later, Mirabel came over to your house. You had locked yourself in your room to cry, so she couldn't get in. "Bestie, you gotta open up so that I can comfort you." She said through the door. You sighed. "Thanks Mira, but I really don't feel like seeing any Madrigals right now." There was a beat of silence. "Okay. I'll just talk to you like this then." You could imagine her sitting down with her back to the door. There was another beat of silence before Mirabel broke it. "Camilo's a jerk." She said. You shook your head, then realized she couldn't see you. "No, Mira, he's not a jerk. He's a really great guy. I'm the one who messed everything up." You could hear Mirabel getting up and jiggling the doorknob. "Okay, seriously Y/N, I need to give you a hug right now." You reluctantly got up and unlocked the door. She opened it and walked inside. "Amiga, you did nothing wrong. Camilo's the one to blame." She said, sitting down on the corner of your bed. "Which is why I-" She stopped. "What?" You asked. "It's a surprise." She told you. You narrowed your eyes in suspicion. "Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I think my dear cousin Cami might be taking the break up worse than you." Mirabel said quickly, changing the subject. "What do you mean?" You asked. "I mean that he hasn't eaten, slept, or taken a shower since your break up. I know it's only been two days, but the shower strike needs to end. He just sits in his room all day in sweatpants and a ratty t-shirt, refusing food and anyone trying to help." You sat there, dumbfounded. Camilo was upset by the break up. For some reason, this hurt you more than anything else that had happened lately. He had broken up with you. He didn't get to be sad about it. He had made his choice. Now he had to live with it and move on. You would never be able to get back together with him now that he had just broken up with you because you had one little fight. He had no right to be unhappy about it. You thought this, and just like that, you felt better. Not good, far from it, but better. "Thanks, Mira." You said, hugging your best friend.

Author's Note:

Hey y'all! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I went to North Carolina with my youth group and we got stuck up in the mountains because of all the snow. I'm back now, though, and publishing chapters. Sorry this one was short. Thanks for reading! :)
