Chapter 6

Y/n's POV

La Familia Madrigal pose for the picture.Señora Pepá controls the rainbow behind her back,Dolores put her hand beside her ears,Señor Felíx widens his arms,Abuela did the same,Antonio raised his hands in the air,Camilo was on the front,Isabela blooms the flower,Señor Agustín hugs Julieta,and Luisa carries a huge rock with just one hand.They're all smiling.They're all happy.

I look around to find Mirabel but I couldn't see her therefore,I leave Antonio's room and my eyes scans the area.I saw her downstairs,I immediately walk through the stairs until I reach her.

"Hey it will be okay" I hug her tightly.

She looked at me sadly, "you don't understand,y/n"

"I understand you just le-" she cuts me off.

(A/N :I recommend y'all to listen to Waiting On A Miracle by Stephanie Beatriz and start at the part where Mirabel sings about how she can't do her familia's gift)

"I can't move the mountains,I can't make the flower bloom.I can't take another night up in my room.Waiting on a miracle~" she sung while she's trying to explain to me things she cannot do.

"I can't heal what's broken,can't control the morning rain or a hurricane,can't keep down the unspoken invisible pain.Always waiting for a miracle,a miracle~"she continued while looking at me with pain on her eyes.

"Always walking alone,always wanting for more like I'm still at that door longing to shine.Like all of you shine.All I need is a change,all I need is a chance,all I know is I can't stay on the side open your eyes,open your eyes~" she sung while I can see a figure of her Abuela that Mirabel explains to.

"I would move the mountains,make new trees and flowers grow.Someone please let me know where do I go?~" she sung with so much pain.My heart aches for her.

she continued , "I would heal what's broken ,show this family something new.Who am I inside,so what can I do?I'm sick of waiting on a miracle ,so here I go.I am ready .Come on,I'm ready.I've been patient ,and steadfast,and steady .Bless me now as you blessed us all those years ago.When you have us a miracle.Am I too late for a miracle?~" she finished as her eyes looked at mine,she's right.I didn't understand her but now,I'm sure I do and my heart fully sinks.

"Mir-" I was about to say something to her but we heard a loud thud.

We looked at it and looked at each other again.

Mirabel and I take a look at it.Mirabel touched the falling thing but she just got cut.

Soon,the floors starts to crack and shake.We panicked but we decided to follow the cracks.It continues upstairs and I got goosebumps when I saw her Abuelo's portrait.This is seriously getting fucking creepy.

I saw her hands shake so I grabbed it gently so I can't hurt her injured hand as we walk upstairs.

When we reached the top,I noticed a scratch on my arm but I ignore the pain and when I look around,I saw how the lights of each doors started to turn off and on.Then I looked at Mirabel and she's staring at a certain area.I glance to what is she staring.The candle.

Mirabel's POV

Y/n and I burst into Antonio's door, "Abuela!Casita's in trouble they where cracks everywhere!the candle almost went out and then Y/n saw it too!"

I saw y/n nods.

"Show me!" Abuela said as I guide her and the people to see the cracks but we found nothing.

No cracks at all.

I tried to explain more but Abuela stopped me, "Stop it Mirabel!and y/n I expect highly of you but it seems like you're just nothing but another trouble."
