Chapter 10

Camilo's POV

I'm still holding her hand when we reached my room, I breathe out loudly —nervously glancing at the stairs. I placed my hand in front of her and gave her a suggestive grin.

She laughs, "What a gentlemen you are hm?" then put her hands on top of mine. I smirk and guide her on stepping through the stairs.

I opened the rooftop door and I glance my eyes on her to see her reaction, I saw how her eyes widen and look at me with a giggle.

At the middle of the rooftop,I put a soft and comfortable blanket that we can sit on, foods that we can eat,a candle-because it's kinda dark in here,books besides the blanket and also a camera along with the tripod so we can take pictures later. I like taking pictures and videos to keep memories.

She excitedly run with a little jumps towards the blanket and almost fell that makes me chuckle. She's so cute.

I grab the camera and take a picture of her in candid. She was sitting on the blanket while she was looking at the food that I bought. I'm so sure she loves food too, I mean who wouldn't?

Soon, I walk towards her before she caught me sneaking pictures of her. That will be awkward and creepy.

She smiled, "I loveee it! Thank you for bringing me here." she exclaimed as I sat next to her.

"It's my pleasure bringing the loveliest lady at my favorite place." I revealed. What did I do to meet the brightest person that can light up the rooms she entered? I blushed at the thought. I hope she didn't notice.

I can see Y/n blush but she quickly hid it by looking at the other direction. I silently chuckled.

"Do you want to know the story about our gift?" I suddenly asked her as I stare at the brightest star.

She looked at me and change her posture which indicates that it caught her interest.

"Not that I'm aware of the whole story but I would love to hear about it." she stated.

I sighed, "My Abuela and Abuelo ran away with their fellow people from those who wants to take our land and kills people." I started.

"My Abuelo found this magical river, it became their hope to get away from those bad people. However, they found our Abuelo, Abuela , and the people with with them. My Abuelo told Abuela that he would talk with those people and take care their children while he kissed them. My Abuela glimpsed of how those man shot my Abuelo..." I continued.

I heard Y/n's gasp, I can't blame her. That story was the most tragic thing that happened to our familia.

"My Abuela grief at that moment and the River heard her. The magic of the river and the candle were like allies. They blew those who hurt my Abuelo. Since then... just like magic works, they gave our familia our gifts to protect ourselves and our people." I finished, now looking at Y/n's eyes.

She hesitated to speak but soon did, " But Mirabel... she doesn't receive any gifts." she said, almost a whisper.

"I haven't figure that one yet, but I see Mirabel as a gift herself." I smiled at Y/n.

She smiled back, "Yeah, I think so too."

A moment of silenced past by

We're looking at the sky together when she broke the silenced

"I think I like you" she mumbled out of nowhere which let me off guard . She's so god, Y/n keeps surprising me.

I looked at her and she's already staring at me. My heart beats faster than ever. I can't explain the feeling that I'm experiencing right now because it's the first time I felt this way.

I gently placed my hand on her rosy cheeks, "And I'm certain that I like you." I mumbled.

Our face begun to get closer and before I realize it, I felt her soft lips touched mine.

We kissed, and the stars are the witness.
