The Lorax x reader

Truffula Forest

I went on a journey by myself in hopes to find the truffles forest. But I wasn't quite by myself, I have my dog accompanying me. His name is (D/D/N - DESIRED DOG NAME) and he always wants to accompany me anywhere I go and he has super dog like stamina and can go a whole 3 months without eating or drinking. Not only that he is super big, not fat but just big and he is almost up to my hips when he walks.

Time skip

I made it to the Truffula forest and was surprised on how beautiful it was. The trees looked deadass like cotton candy. I just went to a random tree and hugged it. As I was about to walk away, I looked down to see these fish I've heard about called "Humming fish" they looked at me and started to sing me a welcome song to the Truffula forest.
I followed them as I saw so much wonderful creatures here.

So that afternoon I was rolling down a hill, climbing up a tree to see if it was actual cotton candy but it wasn't it kind of tasted like butterfly milk?, and singing with the animals. THE END

And it was getting pretty late and I was tired so me and d/d/n were near a cliff looking at the sunset together. My head was laying on d/d/n stomach as I dozed off.

??? POV

I woke up after being felt like I was electrocuted and thanked god I was still alive from the waterfall "I-i was heading into the light and you pulled me right back and here I am you saved my life!" I said to the lorax as I pulled him into a hug. "Well it's not that big a deal-" "it is a big deal! I almost went through that water fall and just- and my bed how did my bed get into the river?" I asked "well you see I...I put your bed in the water..." the Lorax said and I dropped him. As I stood up to look away from him and the animals. "Look everybody here needs the trees and you're choopin'm down. Soo we gotta big problem" the Lorax said and pipsqueak came up to me and slightly pulled my pants. "Look I swear to never chop down another tree, I promise" I said with my hand up. "Good well I'll keep my eye on you." "Good, well I need to get some sleep *yawn* right after I find my bed" I said looking for my bed which I have no clue went. "Hey by the way, you're bed flew up that cliff" the Lorax said "okay thanks" I said

As I was on my way to the top of the cliff my bed was on top of two trees that were close to each other. 'Ughhhhh great!' I said internally. From a distance I saw a figure laying by the cliff  'wait there were other people here too?' I thought to myself as I walked closer to a figure that looked like it was sleeping on something. As I got closer it was a girl laying on her dog that was staring down at the waterfall. I looked at the girl to see she was absolutely stunning. I started to blush. The moonlight hitting her delicate face, and how she had this calm cute sleeping face. But right now I really was tired so tried my best to get the bed down and drag it home with me.

Time skip next morning

I woke up by something shaking me and as I looked up I saw an orange fuzzy creature. "Hey you okay kid?" The strange creature asked me " yes I am, oh I forgot I'm here on a journey looking for the Lorax" I said standing up while looking at the sky smiling. And I heard the animals clearing there voice pointing at the orange fuzzy creature. "A-are you the Lorax!" I asked bending down to it's level. "Indeed I am, guardian of the forest the Lorax" and I just picked him up and spun him around, squealing at the fact I finally found the legendary creature. "Oh my goodness I can't believe I actually found you, the legendary guardian of the forest, actually I can" I said he seemed surprised of my actions.

"Why were you sleeping outside kid?" He asked trying to get off me. "Oh I have no place to live but I came here to seek for you" I said happily "Well, thank you I'm flattered but have you eaten anything at all kid?" "The names Y/n and no I haven't but that's fine because I can kindly ask the bar-ba-loots to grab me a fruit from the Truffula tree.

Timeskip

As we gotten to know each other more he actually told me about his abilities and I told him that I wish to be immortal to stay with the forest and provide it forever. He was just staring at me wondering why I care about the forest so much. " hey y/n may I ask why do you care for the forest that much?" He asked "well you see, I have always loved the nature every since I was a little girl and some people don't even care about trees or plants or the environment at all so I wanted to spend my life showing nature how much I love it!" I said kind of lost in my own thoughts I didn't even notice I was kind of rambling.
"Sorry I didn't mean to ramble" I said "no it's fine and actually you might be the first human I enjoyed company with and your lovely dog to seems to enjoy my company as well" we both laughed " well kid I gotta go sorry for waking you up so early in the morning but I have to go check on something I'll be back though, go ahead and enjoy the forest for a little while" the Lorax said I stood up and nodded "okay see ya Lorax" I waved as we walked separated directions "see ya kid"
